I have loved Pastor Shirley for most of my life. I can remember buying/ordering her tapes/CDs. Ive also read her book. It is my wish to attend her church. Thank you for this interview 💜🎶🙌🏾

Wow! Shirley Cesar, The Queen of Gospel! Pastor Cesar, is one of my favorite singers. I grew up listening to her music. There’s so many beautiful songs that I love by her - Too many to count. I’ve gone to Pastor Caesar ‘s church several times. Pastor Cesar and I had a great conversation. After church service, Pastor Ceasar asked me if I would like to eat out with her and her crew at a restaurant. I accepted her invitation. I truly had a great time with her and the crew. This was a dream come true, being in her presence. An event I will never forget.
Eric is such a great interviewer and has a great personality but I laughed so hard when he said Shirley was born not long after the Civil War .... The Civil War was in the 1860`s, lol... He probably meant to say she was born not long before World War 2. Great interview !

The Classic LINEUP of the Greatest Gospel Group that ever did it was Albertina Walker, Inez Andrews, Cassietta George, Dolores Washington, Josephine Howard, and *BABY SHIRLEY the Preacher. (Honorable Mention goes to their their pianists James Cleveland, Eddie Williams & of Course, James HERNDON. U Need to interview HERNDON if u haven't Already). All the girls are Deceased except Shirley who is the UNDISPUTED Living LEGENDARY QUEEN of GOSPEL and This is the BIGGEST Living Traditional Gospel Singer IN THE WORLD 🌎. ** I Never Believed you could get her on your Show while she's STILL ALIVE!! ..and she's the ONLY ONE LEFT. The Reason I didn't include Dorothy, is Because she was Never a Steady RECORDING Caravan During their CLASSIC LINEUP Period between 1958 *(when Shirley Caesar joined) and 1966 *(when Caesar went SOLO & Most Others Followed). So Dorothy Norwood, having Left EARLY for Solo Stardom, MISSED that Classic Period of GOSPEL/VEE-JAY During Which The Caravans recorded Their Most BELOVED & Enduring hits like "Lord Keep Me Day By DAy", "Mary Don't You Weep," "Choose Ye This Day", "No Coward Soldier", "To Whom shall I Turn", "I Won't Be Back", "Remember Me, Oh LORD", and "Walk Around Heaven All Day". And THAT'S Just a FEW of their Over 100 Smash Hit Records. And the ONLY One LEFT who Sang on THOSE *1958-1966 Classics is Miss Shirley Caesar HerSELF, the Legendary Living Queen of GOSPEL. There was ONE CARAVAN who sang with them during that Classic Period that I DID NOT INCLUDE Because she joined them PERIODICALLY Off & ON, & was NOT STEADY. Mahalia, yes great great singer and woman of GOD, but she has transitioned, Sis. Mama Pastor, Shirley Caesar is amazingly still singing and preaching, still with us to wear the title of Queen. GOD Bless you all.
