She is so darn cool. Also the perfect example of how one's identity (and the roles attached to one's gender) are always more fluid than society likes to portray. Will def check out her performances!

Loved the respect you showed Serene during the interview. I was going into this expecting sensationalism, but was deeply surprised at the seriousness and openness with your interview. But then again, in looking at other interviews of sensitive topics, you orchestrate these interviews with tact and skill. Kudos!

Great interview, Serene was fantastic, so honest, open, and secure. A lot to be learnt from her by everyone.

Definitely the past 10+ years Western societies are becoming more aware… educated …about transgenders; thus, the label “ transgender” isn’t just a guy dressing up as a woman- there’s more to the transformation. There is a lot more learning for us folks in the mainstream to understand. I appreciate this interview, Pete. (And wish your guest the best)

Loved this interview! Living in Thailand has truly opened my worldview and given me a safe space to explore my sexuality. Recently, I discovered that I prefer trans women 🌈💕 This country allows you to be your true self without fear of judgment or ridicule from society because of how open and accepting it is. Thailand is my 2nd home 🇹🇭 and it's here that I am truly learning who I am as a person

My wife is a Thai trans woman and I know the Thai LGBT community pretty well. Serene's type of story is fairly rare in Thailand (actually more common in the west) in that she's interested in dating women at all (let alone primarily) and would even go off of hormones to be a top. Yet, she's bisexual in that she likes men also. The sexual interest in cross dressing (Transvestism) is also fairly rare for Thai trans women where it's a lot more about identity and presentation rather than something actually erotic. Yet it's not just tranvestism in that she is taking hormones and wants top surgery. Actually really cool and a great interview, I'm just pointing this out for people who would hear this interview and assume folks like Serene are common. That's not the case at all. She's a minority in a minority. As a bisexual myself, it's also nice to hear from other non-monosexuals once and a while no matter their gender identity. I'm glad you're living your life in a more accepting place now and that you get to travel to other places often to see what the world is like. That life living in an orphanage as a trans woman must have been a lot harder then you let on here. I'm glad you can express yourself through your comedy now and turn all those lemons into lemonade. My Thai massage lady and she over the years has become my friend over the years....her son in Thailand dresses as a lady she told me he called her to get her permission to become a lady and she said no but she is fine with him dressing as a lady.....when she told me I found it real honest and raw .......

We've talked about how straight males should take care from Thai girls in Pattaya, something like this with gay community would be nice. Specially as gay man interested in moving to Thailand. Great Vlog, Standard rule for converting Celsius to Fahrenheit is double the celsius temp then add 30 this will give a rough estimate for 25 C will be 77 F

Being trans can be a very lonely life Pete. We as society often put people down for no reason . No one is going to turn you gay. There is no magic gay wand or Trans wand . It begins at birth. Okay you have hit a soft spot with me .

I’m just confused- why decide to have a child and then go find yourself? This person comes across as so dismissive of the effect on a 5 year old of being a deadbeat dad of whatever gender.
