I don't really see US-ambassadors getting a lot of respect since many of them did not get their post based on qualification and merit but because they supported the winning candidate in the presidential elections - having people represent your country who bought their way in is not a clever idea I think
Clearly, she's not a financial expert. A shame that she does make financial claims about, for instance, the educational system. Last time I checked, education in the Netherlands beats the one in the USA on multiple grounds and levels of context. The Dutch rank 9th, whereas the USA ranks 21st....... You do not need the most wealthy schools on the planet to get the best students. Look at Denmakt, almost fully subsidized by the government and ranks 3rd. Relations between the Dutch and the USA would be even better, embracing their 400 year history of partner- and friendship, the first country to unofficially recognize the United States of America by saluting their flag and the host to the first American embassy and ambassador, John Adams, if the current ambassadors would be more knowledgable. That's why they're there in the first place. To share information and help one-another. Pity...
+Topper Harley not to mention that the upward mobility in society exist mainly due to that education system that in her eyes is irresponsible whereas since the late 70's the 'land of opportunity' only has real opportunity for those that can afford it. upward mobility and salary increase since the 80's in the USA is next to zero for adjusted dollars... But hey, she believes in the USA being better... for 'reasons''
still better than the guy we have now. I wonder why she was recalled after only 2 years and the Obama administration didnt appoint a new ambassador until 3 years later.
As noted in the comments below, there are a few facts very wrong in this video. Granted, the USA earns more nobel prizes, but that is only because many foreign students come to the USA to study there on grants. The basic system of education in the USA is very, very sick and does not cause upward social mobility.
