Same happened to me, i grew up in a giant house with dogs not able to make friends because i could barely understand otherss than me and my moms english
I just love how todoroki is always shown to be super observant (midoriya's power's likeness to allmight, midoriya copying bakugou's jumping style, momo not using her quirk, midoriya having 'two' quirks, etc.) yet also being very trusting in the sense that he never questions anybody after that and just takes their answer as the truth. A fun characterisation that becomes more noticeable with each rewatch
Shoto and Zuko (A:TLA) similarities: - Well-written characters - Can control fire - From high-status families (mainly their fathers) - Troubled past involving parents - Hated their fathers and close to their mothers - Similar looking scars from a parent burning them (Their scars alone make them similar) - Generally edgy and introverted - Initially felt bound to certain rules in life before freeing themselves from them (Shoto: can't use fire Zuko: had to find the Avatar like it was a life-long debt) - Villainous siblings with blue flames (Dabi and Azula)
Well Eri has no dad Shigaraki decayed his dad The flying nomus dad turned him into the nomu Deku grew up with no dad And todoroki just straight up hates his dad
Now I just wanna Shoto and Loki to sit down and talk about how their dads suck and agreeing that moms are just the best and then watch on TV their their fathers fight some threat and be like OH GOD NO
Hol up.....✋🏾 Emotional and physically abusive dad Abused mom that eventually left Evil sibling that uses blue fire Goes from serious stone cold character to awkward character Both uses fire magic of some kind Come from rich families Scar from abusive dad Both 16 years old Both are badass IM ON TO YOU HORIKOSHI YOU TOOK ZUKO AND ADDED A BIT OF ICE Horikoshi:👁💧👄💧👁
Todoroki: How did you get your eye burned Zuko: My father burned it.. so what happened to you Todoroki: Damn, mine was burned by a tea kettle.. Zuko: Got daddy issues? Todoroki: *Yes*
i just love how all those years of endavor bieng abusive can just change by inspiritation and action by shoto and shoto showing change to his father bc he knows his father is doing his best to be a hero that shoto could admire
The scene where he tells his mom he doesn't want to be endeavor had me realize this: while he hated the training, him telling his mom that he doesn't want to be like him was more on him never wanting to hurt someone like his mom. Shows he was such a gentle person back then
Shoto is kinda like zuko: they both have daddy issues, they both have a scar over there right eye and they both started off mean then while the show went on both got a lot kinder/loveable
Sadly in East Asian countries, it's not like that. Especially in anime the story always revolves around the children forgiving the parent and letting go of the past as filial piety is greatly emphasized. Honestly, I would like the abusive parent to get their just reward but I guess it might be healthier for the child to let go of all the anger and if the parent redeems themselves I guess it might be alright? Idk it really depends on how abusive the parent was and maybe if the parent deserves forgiveness or not. (I have an abusive ex and I can understand both sides of this argument, hope this can be a nice discussion)
@@zoechai7487 I think Endeavour's status as the number 1 hero also complicates this matter, potentially even excusing him from his previous crimes, that is assuming there's even any proof. I imagine now that season 5 has established that Shouto respects Endeavour as a hero, I deem it unlikely that he'd sue him later in life
I mean he basically was like he was a domestic abuser, he almost killed first born son, and trained shoto to sickness so yeah I think endeavour was and is the villain
Wow how come anime characters that I don’t even exist have such a longer life than me like it takes a whole entire hour to talk about their lives While my life over here is just I was born in a loving family with sibling rivalry and I grew up to become a very stupid person and then I died
I like how tokoyami looks so defeated when he fights bakugo, and bakugo's all like "yeah you're strong, but you're never gonna win this fight specifically"
To those who says Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender is a rip-off of Shoto. Well, Zuko was introduced nine years before My Hero Academia was published.
@@stefanchelarescu4090 My sister's Account. I actually don't like Gacha. I just happen to accidentally use her Account while watching this because I forgot to switch to my Account.
I don't even watch this show but PLEASEEEEEE someone tell me WHY DOES THE "BACKUP" TAKE SO LONG TO GET THERE? IT SEEMS LIKE THE HEROS ARE A BIT SLOW. THEY KEEP ON LETTING KIDS ALMOST DIE 💀😭😂
Ive watched the show and trust me its even worse then it sounds. the stupid back up comes 828828282 hours after they already almost died and beat the villian
No. This ship is totally toxic. Ever notice how Izuku *never* gives the bed any love or affection, when they're literally there for him all the time. Simply no way
