I really like the yin and yang effect with vaatu and raava, within all good their is evil and vice versa, and if evil were vanquished or vice versa, what little evil is in good would allow the cycle to continue
Also one cool thing I noticed is that when Wan freed Vaatu he said thank you human, which shows vaatu has some kindness and also teamed up with unalaq. And also even though Raava is kind she got mad at Wan when he freed Vaatu so she can have some anger and or hate, I like this because it shows that they really do have some light and dark within each other.
I find this really funny, you have 174 likes and the main events of book 4 where Kuvira really shows up took place in 174 AG (AG means after the Air Nomad Genocide)
How Vaatu got imprisoned: Avatar Wan shot him with fire and threw rocks at him to knock him out, and while Vaatu was dazed in the air, Wan made a bunch of wind circle around him, formed a ball that Vaatu was inside of, and made the wind physical so that Vaatu couldn’t get out of the ball. He then made rings of water, lava and rocks fly around the ball and then he put the ball inside of a hole on a tree and mixed the ball of wind, the water, the lava and the rocks together, which created a portal that led to the spirit world. Even though Vaatu was seemingly standing behind the entrance of the portal, he couldn’t just fly out of the spirit world because he was actually part of the portal itself.
I can now imagine vaatu waiting being like: okay let’s see any person crazy enough to open the portals and realse me nope okay… man I’ll be here a while
I'd be interesting to know the story about more of the oldest beings. Possible through a 'chicken or the egg' type story between the lion turtles, Raava/Vaatu, Koh and others yet to be revealed.
A series of the Avatar where the world's technologies advance far enough to where it's like WWI Levels of tech, firearms and etc for non benders in the world's armies, but also an incarnation of vaatu becoming one with a mortal much like Raava
Since light and darkness can't exist without each other, which means Vaatu will return in the future, is that mean there will be a new Dark Avatar? Also, since there's an Avatar Cycle, will there be a Dark Avatar Cycle as well?
I lived ten-thousand lifetimes before the first of your kind crawled out of the mud. It was I who broke through the divide that separated the plane of Spirits from the material world. To hate me is to give me breath. To fight me is to give me strength. Now prepare to face oblivion! You kinda missed the opportunity to showcase the true nature of Vaatu. He, alongside Raava, shaped their whole world, and he turned the material world from a barren wasteland in the beginning, to a lush world, teeming with spirit wilds, animals and everything else. That, in time, led to humans "crawling out of the mud", implying evolution from that primitive animals. Vaatu brought chaos into the realms by breaking the divide between the worlds, yes, but it eventually led to a delicate balance between organic lifeforms and the spiritual ones. He may be consumed by his desire to conquer and bring darkness to all his creation, but his existence is absolutely necessary, as much as Raava's is. About her... yes, she is the spirit of light, but on her own, she had an almost zealous desire for order. That's the nature of their duality, to balance each other out, forever.
I've been thinking: the second Dark Avatar was born in the next Avatar series (takes place in the 21st Century), he/she is never evil unlike Unalaq, but instead he/she has to battle the darkness within himself/herself, and when he/she meets the Avatar, the two Avatars may team up to fight evil.
Vaatu and Raava don’t have bending of their own. Raava got the bending arts from the turtles because Wan couldn’t contain it all. Vaatu only ever had his energy beam and negative influence. I think he “allowed” himself to be bonded to Unalak for the sole purpose of getting his bending. The vines are a “specialized level” expression of water bending and with all of the power he had stored up, plus harmonic convergence, plus his lack of familiarity with being in a human, his energy was constantly leaking out and when he got evaporated, the residual energy manifested itself eventually as vines. THEN when Kuvira fired the vine weapon for some reason this time, it activated all the vines…that were created when Vaatu was “vanquished”. And what happened at the end of that fight? The energy of the vines created a new spirit portal…which is what Vaatu did at the very beginning when he broke down the barrier between the spirit and material world.
1. Because watch begginnings. Raava held the elements for Wan, Vaatu didn't. Fusing with them doesn't automatically mean you'll bend all the elements. 2. Vaatu and unalaq got vanquished in the avatar form, so, no.
@@seldomstudios6351 Yeah, I also am a horror game fan, it seems stupid but you'd be suprised as to how scary things like FNaF and Bendy are when you're not shitting on them for being "trash"
Something that would be awesome is if vaatu fused with someone around wans time and the good avatar and the bad avatar fight in all their reincarnations that would be awesome
@Henry Okoro Nope, when the Korra destroyed Vatuu she ended the Dark Avatar cycle since she destroyed Vatuu, their can't be a reincarnation cycle if he's been destroyed
what would have happened if vaatu had learned to master all the rare masteries and also learn to master all mastery techniques and also learn to master all the powers of the spirits
Since the darkness grows within Raava when Vattu dies, does that mean Vattu's reincarnation will eventually come/grow within the avatar 10k years from Vattu's destruction? That would be a pretty interesting story.
Yes that would be cool if the avatar spirit slowly becomes corrupt and takes the avatar spirit from raava and that brings back the reancarnation spirits back
@@gisecuri7 I'm not sure what you mean by purified; perhaps turned into a light spirit? Raava explicitly said "One cannot exist without the other. Even if I defeat Vaatu in this encounter, darkness will grow inside me until he emerges again." Unless the creators/writers express something differently, I'd assume Vaatu wouldn't be gone forever. Of course, this is all speculation since we were left in the dark on the topic.
@@adamjames642 Yes that is what I meant as in the finale of season 2 she uses water bending to purify (Aka making the water in a spiral and making it gold) unalocc (Not sure if that’s how you spell it) And I’m pretty sure that we are talking about the same thing
@@vetarlittorf1807 I'm just saying if I were Vaatu, I would have killed Unalaq as soon as I was free instead of fusing with him to become the dark Avatar.
@@aishxnel *Ozai was a good guy.* 1 - Though the man banished his son zuko he ended up giving him supplies that lasted two years (731 days maximum depending on if their was a leap year or not) and it continued to last for most of the Winter book. Zuko also had enough money to pay the engineers at Zhao's base/territory who repaired his vehicle. 2 - He genuinely was proud of Zuko when he was told a story of him killing the avatar in ba sing se. He hugged his son and helped him up. Even letting him speak in war councils & meeting's. He valued the opinion of zuko & considered him as relevant as Azula. 3 - Ozai saved Zuko from Azula who was chasing him in childhood (is depicted in a painting/portrait which zuko remembers a couple of time's in the series). 4 - Ozai saved Zuko again during his childhood (mentioned by the man himself in a comic named "The Promise" it was on a beach prior to when Lu Ten ever died). 5 - Ozai could have put an end to Ursa's life but he allowed her to remain alive and choose to let her go back to her village, meet her parents and live her life with Ikem, he set his love free & still bravely takes the hatred of his son even though it was all Ursas fault Ozai never blamed her. 6 - Ozai hired a yuyan archer to slay Ikem, but he failed, then instead of punishing or firing the archer ozai gave him permission to get a better job in a private/independent group/organization called "The Rough Rhinos" who ended up being friends of his brother Iroh. This nameless archer got a relationship with iroh, a good job, a identity because of a great human being like Ozai. 7 - The reason he asked Azulon to revoke the birthrights of Iroh is because Ozai knew his brother better than everyone and wanted him to be happier. He understood that after LuTen's death prince Iroh would not be able to rule properly or take up his responsibilities very soon. It would be too much stress for his brother so Ozai solved irohs problem by making a request. 8 - Ozai encouraged and guided Azula in her life, helping her in her problems, giving her the love that her slut of a mother would never give to her. 9 - He did not discriminate against any race, species or gender. Ozai never judges people based on their looks. He judge's them based on merit instead. Which is why Ozai banished his son zuko cause he lacked merit. He allowed women to serve as warriors, guards and soldier's. 10 - Ozai also encouraged Zuko to hit him during their agni kai duel, but zuko refused, if he had followed the order and hit ozai then it is very likely that zuko wouldn't have been banished and instead would still be allowed to stay in the palace despite having a scar and not need to capture a avatar or kill one to go back home. 11 - Ozai gave Zhao many promotions despite his failure, he was the best boss basically, giving his workers many chances and their salary would be raised. He is the nicest person to work for. Ozai let people like admiral chan go to islands for a paid vacation. 12 - Ozai had several chances to kill his beloved brother Iroh (the fat fugck was in prison, helpless) but he was merciful, resistant and cared about his life, he forgave iroh for his crimes and sins and let him have two square meals every day & training equipment in jail. Ozai probably had that young female guard hired to serve Iroh in the prison cause he wanted his brother to be happy. He also probably encouraged his brother to marry again after Lu Tens mom died but Iroh was too stubborn, stupid, ignorant and needed an excuse/pretext for hating his younger, taller, handsome brother.
In Hinduism and Buddhism silence is a method to help reach to realization or awakening so again the creators did a poor job in bringing out these characters
*Raava:* "Then why do you want to k!ll me?" *Vaatu:* "HAHAHAHA! I do- I don't wanna k!ll you. What would I do without you? Go back to waiting and having to deal with you when you resurrect again? No, no, no YOU. YOU. COMPLETE. ME."

Instead of coming back in 10k years the dark avatar should reincarnate simultaneously with the light avatar or he should be reincarnated as the only avatar when a time of stagnation and unspirituality occurs. The dark avatar would act as someone who brings change instead of harmony and peace.
Okay, but let's say 10,000 years from the LOK book2 when Vaatu re-emerges, how's that gonna work? Since Ravaa is one with the avatar. So like will the avatar become both dark and light?! or what?
I just think that it will be so interesting that if there will be a 4th Avatar series, Aang that Airbender, Korra the Waterbender, 3rd a Earthbender and the last one will be a Firebender (according to the Avatar cycle) than the in the finale series (Firebender Avatar) he will face another avatar but the evil one. In season 2 Vaatu went into Unalque... It will be amazing if the possibility that another individual will be the same as powerful as the good avatar.
@@vaatulordofdarkness3086 give it time Vaatu. Like Raava said you’ll grow from inside of her. And one day you’ll pop out of her like one of those xenomorphs. Won’t that be swell?
The one thing I wish didn't come to fruition tbh. The introduction of Raava and Vaatu was a bit disappointing. Should have left it a mystery, but also, light & darkness complements each other and neither holds a more "good" and/or "evil" from either. And UnaVaatu... ...why the hell did this become a thing?... only because the creators grew tired of the *"Aang keeps asking past Avatars for help!"* could have done without this sequence
random thought. when wan fused with raava he used the south portal and unalock used the north to fuse with vaatu . when korra refused with raava she was in middle where the beams meet. if u saw my theory in the raava video korra was fused with vaatu as well. wan with raava with south is light. unalock with vaatu with the north is darkness. and korra with both in the center is balance. or am i just over thinking
1)as stated in raava comment if u saw it she got absurd into vaatu and while she was in him and he didn't glow white 2) he just died, it would take time for him regrow enough to have an effect on the host maybe even in am avatar after korra lifetime
@@deadlysilence7474 Even though dark avatar is reincarnated He/She Would not have 4 bending abilities as Vaatu did not receive it from the Lion Turtles like Raava
@@Zukohernandez the dark avatar would have water control and most importantly "Spirit control/corruption" in a era where the spirits are everywhere in the psychical world.
Speak of the Devil . . . After watching many of your videos, including the Life of Raava like three days ago, I looked up “The Life of Vaatu” and found nothing then . . . lol
I think even the Avatar's have their own version of good and bad. Yangchen was good and disciplined. Kuruk was considered bad because of his lifestyle. Kyoshi killed a friend and Roku spared his friend. Aand was the most balanced but he did have the strongest spiritual connection while Korra destroyed her. And even Raava and Vaatu grow frim within each other. This means that one cannot exist indefinitely without the order. Bad must exist to give value to good.
Aang was the most balanced? From where exactly? He's indeed good in spiritual side of being the avatar but he locks on the physical side. He doesn't even fit to praised the most Spiritual avatar when he doesn't know anything about his Origins of existence. He may have the best connection to his pastlives however he locks the connection to his Avatar spirit 'Raava'. The only and most spiritual avatar I've ever witnessed was Wan and Korra they're the 'Only' avatar that clearly knows their Origins, they had the deepest and direct connection to their avatar spirit which Aang didn't have that connection.
My ideas for a new Avatar series would be twin earth benders. One born with Vaatu (with a Dark Avatar being part of the new cycle) and the other with Rava. The Rava one would only be able to call upon Korra but the Vaatu one could call upon all the others and the story would revolve around trying to defeat the Dark Avatar and purify the old lives into the original cycle with only Unalaq remaining as the previous Dark Avatar
Since vaatu and Unalaq fused to become a dark avatar does that mean the dark avatar will now reincarnate just like the way the normal avatar does and keep the cycle going? The show never really explained that
Good video, thanks for showing us the video on Vaatu. When watching how the Dark Avatar came to be, I began to wonder if Unaloq has inadvertently began a Dark Avatar Cycle where in a near or distant future of the Avatar world, Vaatu will return but as one of the reincarnations of Korra's uncle and not within Raava? Well I do know about you but what do you think?
@@deadlysilence7474 But you never know what could happen? I mean we don't know for sure if the Avatar cycle would really end if he/she died while in the Avatar state since they never gave us a real moment where it did happened. So it only stands to reason that Vaatu can return sooner than expected.
@@dfile7598 Maybe he can come back early, but I doubt he'll be able to leave the Avatar's spirit. Since Korra destroyed Vatuu this means he was inside Ravaa at the time where she fused back with Korra. This could possibly mean he's stuck to her spirit as well since he was technically inside of Korra during the fusion.
Then it is entirely possible and should happen, for the sake of the valance that Vatu grows within Ravaa and thus creates a neutral or super dual avatar. If he died fused to a human, as happened to Ravaa, wouldn't he have to generate a new cycle for a Dark Avatar?
I think Vaatu is gonna reincarniate in someone else body, like Raava. The spirit of Wan and Raava merged, like the spirit of Vaatu and Unalaq. So I think it would make sense if a cycle began. Maybe he would only reincarniate in waterbenders because Unalaq was one
@@wattsnottaken1 Without conflict, the world will never progress. Look at how much the 100 year war made the world progress. They are well into the technological age, with Vatuu, who brings conflict in the form of chaos, may cause the world to develop methods in order to withstand the chaos and find a way to use chaos to their advantage.
@@wattsnottaken1 They can test this out on future Avatars, since Vatuu will be inside of the current Avatar. Maybe even fused with them, since Vatuu was inside Ravaa when she fused with Korra.
