So I read an article about her, her parents divorced when she was very young, then she went to live with her grandparents in the rural area. When she grow up, she tried various job at the city.. once upon a time, she got a call that her grandma was sick so she left everything and cameback to hometown to take care of her nana. She was inspired by her brother who uploads singing videos on Meipai (Chinese social media) and thinking that she could do one of that too. Over the years through trials and errors she was able to build her channel. After learning this about her, I was really impressed. All i can say is, she is truly a hard working person and never leaves her family. We all should be inspired!! Ps: All that woodworking and cooking skill she learned from her grandpa. Apart from this channel, I heard that she is also a bussineess woman 😍

As a baker wheat is an integral part of my life. seeing how it can be used in SO many different ways to the western ways of using it, has opened my eyes to the possibilities of its versatility. I am excited to try wheat starch noodles. and so many of the other delicious things you made. Thank you.

People say they want to live her life but it takes a lot of hard work. She had to sow and harvest and thresh an entire field of wheat with little help, getting up so early that the sun hadn’t even come up. Even after all that exhausting work, she has to pick and cook her own food. She worked countless hours just to make a 19 min video. It’s a lot of suffering as well she just makes it look easy. If you notice, her moves aren’t delicate even though she’s so petite - they’re very efficient and sharp because she can’t waste any time.

She is God gifted talented warm beautiful heart caring to her grandmother. You'll not find anyone like her willing to work so hard, not acting like a princess or waiting to be a spoiled brat. I admired her care and dedication to her loving grandmother.

I also grew up on a village/ homestead somewhere in Africa and have been doing all sorts of chores from harvesting during rainy season, pounding sorghum, herding cattles and goats, collecting firewood, fetching water, using some tree roots to brush teeth and they were always pure white, to eating wild fruits, melons, mealies, nuts, beans, sugar cane and drinking traditional brewed ginger beer etc. I moved to the city to study and usually visit the village during holidays. I love nature and enjoy gardening, I am naturally hardworking as we grew up working. Liziqi's videos inspire me so much...I am soon going to set up a garden at my grandmother's village and live a simple life just like when I was a kid..Dont mind my English

I lived in the countryside for a few years when I was a kid, and I've experienced almost everything she did in the video. I used to go to the mountains to pick fruit, go to the river to catch fish to make porridge or bake for dinner, and also use flour to make all kinds of snacks. About the snack in 12:06 : Dough: Mix flour with a little sugar, lard, and yeast water. Knead it. Then proof it. The filling (sort of): sesame seeds, sugar, lard, and salt. Mix them well. The final process: Mix the filling with the dough. Knead them together. Cut the dough into stripes. Turn the stripes into long strips, then form the braids. Double fry them. That's it. P.S. There's no exact measurementss in every ingredients in her videos, or, in fact, most of the Chinese recipes.You have to test and make adjustments, like the sourdough games. You can change the ingredients as well, such as butter instead of lard. You may even add a little spice in the dough, like a bit of cinnamon. In conclusion, just go with your flow and enjoy.

I always admire her... she’s one of the examples that i follow closely to learn to enjoy life and hard work. Especially in a hard time like this, i live with my grandmother quite far from where my younger sisters and my parents live in. Due to this virus pandemic the city where the they live in is quite contagious to be in so my parents decided to move my younger sisters here with me and my grandma. So i have to take care of them too, Li Zi Qi is like a role model for me making the most in life, besides my hard working dad. A true inspiration, i learn to do so many new things on my own because of her. Thank you for sharing what you do to the world Li Zi Qi. Edit: I didn't expect to gain likes (or even attention?) in this one huge comment, so thank you for it and hope that you guys are doing well in these hard times as well and thank you so much for the kind support :) Update (5 months after comment): my grandmother moved into my aunt’s place, my grandma wanted to see her other grandkids (and it’s hard to keep her entertained because i’m caught up in college work) but because of the pandemic my dad and i warned my aunt to keep her inside at all times and super safe. My parents came by once a week for dropping supplies so me and my sisters don’t need to go outside to buy them. Today my dad disinfect my car to give my sisters a drive tour in town but of course stay inside the car and keep safe. My mom helps me out with housework (after we disinfected her for her to be inside my home) to also for her to check if there is something needed that i wasn’t fully aware about and cook her dish as well, while me and my mom take a break i put on li zi qi on the tv, my mom was focused on her (Li Zi Qi) activities and crops, smiled, and very impressed with her work. My mom also explains what she(Li Zi Qi) is doing in the videos because my mom could speak and read chinese, even though i already knew because i watched the video before with captions. But still it is very nice to see my mom like that again. Just a reminder to appreciate for having your parents around even if it’s for a short while :) .
