As vocalist with Australian rock band AC/DC, Bon Scott played a critical role in the band’s journey from suburban hotels to international stadiums. On the night of February 19, 1980, Scott, climbed into the backseat of a parked car in London. Scott had always been a heavy drinker, even by rockstar standards. On this particular night, he’d been indulging his habit in a local club. A bit worse for wear, Scott quickly passed out after his friends left him there to sleep it off. When they returned to the car the next morning, Scott was dead. Since then, questions about what exactly happened that night have persisted, challenging the legacy of one of rock’s most beloved bands. The Late Bon Scott was not only a great lead singer, but he was also a brilliant songwriter. It’s hard to pick a favourite Bon Scott song, because all his songs were good, some stand out ones are Riff Raff, Let There Be Rock, and there’s the more bluesy songs like The Jack and Ride On. If Bon had not died that tragic night back in February 1980, could you imagine the great songs he would have written for AC/DC. R.I.P. Bon Scott

There will never be another like him. His lyrics were brilliant and his way of delivering them was fantastic. If I could travel back in time to meet someone who has passed, he would be at the top of my list. My favorite songs include Bad Boy Boogie, Live Wire, Dirty Deeds, and Girls got Rhythm.

Yeah, not a bad piece. It wasn't crap. That he begun to mix heroin with alcohol, is not surprising. You end up drinking less, for a bigger buzz. A risky buzz, of course. Nonetheless, he was a great man.

Good insight to his life prior to AC/DC. I have researched the topic of the "writing" of BIB and I'm more than convinced this is Brian's album. Bon lovers hate to hear this, and they seem to just ignore the evidence. So be it. Bon was certainly unique and I really appreciate the Bon years and recordings, as well as Brian. In the end I will side with survivors. Brian was the needed front man to take AC/DC to a huge international band. Bon would have never been able to do that... he was a mess and well you know of his demise. If not for Brian, 95% of you reading this today would say who is Ac/DC? That is how small the band was when Bon died. Cheers and keep rocking.
