It's different now that metahumans and superheroes are running around. Plus doesn't he only announce it to other super powered people? Am I remembering wrong? Depending on the time the people of the era would keep trying to execute him for being a demon or something of the kind. Big witch hunt, capture, imprisonment. Easier just to hide it.
@@ANite-vx1vk There is also the fact that he could clearly just disapear for a few decades, maybe a century and then come back and most of his ennemies, even the JLA would be dead.
I suppose its cause he usually just outlives everyone under him or fakes his death to start over before the modern day where they can now keep tabs on him.
Wait, Lex Luthor is 51 years old by the end of season 2? He looks like he is in his 30s. Damn. What did he do to stay looking young like that? Being evil?
Probably something with stem cells and cloning tech. Cadmus very own anti aging cream, all natural ingredients including small traces of kriptonian DNA!
@@Coinfliptails no no thanks my apologies didn’t want to be a douche at first I didn’t understand the joke but watched the vid right after I commented thank you regardless have a good day
The light is higher than any form of government but works without ever being known to the public. it is run by the powerful and the elites, they are responsible of all corporate evil and greed. Illuminati confirmed.
You should have included Deathstroke since he made it clear to Sportsmaster that he had negotiated a "seat at the table" implying he was, or would soon be, a full fledged member of the light.
black hippy as He is a Bishop in the Light’s chess game. He does the dirty work and is capable of complex missions but still can be sacrificed. Still he is not a pawn. A pawn would be Icicle Junior as he is only capable of doing ground work and will 100% be sacrificed.
At this point the Light is pretty much disbanded with only Queen Bee, Luthor, Savage, Ras, and Klarion out and about but the possibility of their return is overshadowed by DarkSeid potentially taking action using the War World. Unless Brain and Manta leave Belle Reve due to the current warden being a member of the Light, things can get really interesting and not even the team are prepared to face the might of Apokolips unless the Gods of Genesis comes into play.
Todd Taylor A terrorist is someone who uses violence and intimidation to forward some political goal, which is exactly what the League of Assassins does. There are also environmentalist terrorists in real life, too.
I never knew about what Queen Bee did to beastboys mum. I remember in the young justice show he freezes when he sees a car at the bottom of a waterfall that clearly drove over the edge. I figured it was an accidental car crash and he had somehow survived, not this
samuel hannigan, me too. He was like that lame coworker who claims to be crazy but is just a typical a-hole who uses that as an excuse to screw with everyone.
I mean he doesn’t seem really necessary for the kind of story they’re trying to tell. He wasn’t even in the Light, just somehow working for them in the Injustice league?
I think they are awesome villains. Would love for Sinestro to become a member or an ally since Season Three will have more space related stuff especially with Darkseid and Apokolips.
It depends on the situation. He has allied with others in the past to further his own goal. He doesn't have to be a member of the light either I guess he could always be his own thing. If they did his character right he would be powerful enough to do so especially considering the last ten years of his stories he's really become a great villain since Sinestro Corps War.
04:42 Luthor in his own words ( From Superman: The Animated Series). Doesn't care about money. What he cares about are Knowledge and power. Especially since after his merging with Brainiac.
I like how the Light's motivation is basically advancing humanity and they see the League and other heroes as a threat to that. It makes them seem a bit more noble and gives them an actual reason to be villains who want to take over the world other than simply being bad guys just because
Still bunch of evil monstrous imbecilic ingrates overall for thinking Superheroes like Justice League shouldn't;'t exist. Savage proves his brain is as decrepit as his face🤣
I'm hoping they elaborate on Clarion more. The Light is trying to create a new Order, an evil Order, but their goals seem to conflict with Clarion. My theory that is probably wrong is that Clarion doesn't expect or want the Light to succeed and is quietly rooting for an endless violent stalemate between the Light and the heroes.
That could be true. In the conflict between The Lords Of Order and The Lords of Chaos over the centuries they trade places, with one becoming dominant for a time and then the other becoming dominant for a time. I think in a DC Who's Who they mentioned that at one time The Lords of Chaos were going to step aside and let chaos rule for a time so that they could return to dominance sooner. Doctor Fate was a Lord Of Order who opposed this.
he's not an official member of the light, or at least not in season 2 might become one in season 3 though technically he's one of darkseid's lieutenant's so he's probably just a partner of the light working under darkseid
NeedleMouse Productions I don’t get it! How is G. Gordon allied to Darkseid? I saw the season 2 ending and I was like “WTF man”. It’s like if you said to me J Jonah Jameson was secretly working with Thanos all along to take down the Avengers.
@@VicEntity in the canon DC comic, he is one of the herald for Darkseid. In this Young Justice series, he served to tell lies, propaganda, persuade people to think that the good guys is bad and so on. He is, in other word, one of Darkseid lieutenant.
@@VicEntity now hear me out. This is just my theory. In the preview video of Season 3 Young Justice, it seems that there will be a problem regarding a metagene and metahuman trafficking. Now if we connected the dots, we see that the Light was founded so that they can combat Justice League and trying to put evolutionary path in humankind in the right path or so they say. Maybe, the Light has always been working alongside Darkseid since the beginning. Darkseid being the New Gods can provide some Apocalyptian technology to help the Light with their plan, including some insight to metagene and how to trigger it. And then in exchange of Darkseid's help, the Light will provide something that Darkseid always wanted, an Anti Life Equation. Maybe the equation can be obtain via research from the metagene. We will see about this in season 3.
If 'The Light' replaced Deathstroke and Ultra-Humanite with The Brain and General Immortus along with Granny Goodness joining the group whilst bringing back Ra's Al Ghul, you'd pretty much get an entire group of immortals. Vandal Savage, Klarion, Granny Goodness, and General Immortus are all immortals with The Brain and Ra's technically being "immortal" (The Brain can't die since he has no bodya dn Ra's has the Lazarus Pit)
Welp season 3 finally came in and only four of these remains member of the Lights. Though two of the new members are already familiar faces. And the lst one.... an enormous spoiler.
MrThejayvion that's wrong, they actually want humanity to evolve and be recognised by other life forms that earth isn't to be messed with and to put it at the centre of the milky way
Even though they are part of The Light, with the goal of evolving humanity, I think each individual member has their own agenda. Most of these villains are the traditional "take over the world" types.
Trying to bring order to the world is an admirable goal. Its their methods that fixes the League of Assassins or League of Shadows firmly in the "bad guys" category.
((This is extremely late, but better late than never?)) Considering klarion original comic book counterpart, his backstory is much different and isn’t even a villain. His cat plays a part in this in context, needing to be an animal. I would imagine when redesigning the character to play a villainous role in the animated show, they wanted to keep main parts of his character. This would include his cat, as his familiar is pretty much ALWAYS a huge part of the character. They threw out the backstory and all, but yeah... though if they were to try to explain it in the context of the show, it seems like the cat is more like a creature that already exists for klarion, rather than him being able to choose his anchor to reality, though it seems to remain unclear.
+koolboy895 yeah. Plus, again, censors may have issues with that... Unless you take into account how Grodd was a lady's man in the Justice League series.
How does this relationship work is a mystery. I mean they can’t even have sex said nice one is a brain and the other a gorilla. Unless brain has an vibrator funct... ok look I don’t want to think about it anymore.
Yeah I can't say that I care for the Young Justice comic book that's based on the TV series but I can see how a lot of people grew up with it I grew up with the original one they had Superboy Robin and Kid Flash oh and let's not forget secret who joined later and kid Lobo do you think anyone remembers when kid Lobo was a member of Young Justice?
@@theorangeeyepodscp1318 let's see if I recall correctly klarion the witch boy switch the ages of the very super power beings in the DC Universe making Heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman Trojan while children like Superboy and Robin adults he even did this to certain beans and space such as Lobo and kit Lobo came to Earth to find out what was going on wind up joining Young Justice until our world at war where he went to fight on apocalypse with young Justice got shot into a bloody puddle and from that Bloody puddle hundreds of Lobos regenerated with only one kid Lobo left because his healing Factor was screwed up this kid Lobo was later turned into a statue in the Hall of Young Justice 1 million by Darkside when he challenged him to protect I think it was secret I don't remember it was one of the members of Young Justice that turned into a cloud of dust and this is from Comics I read that well over 10 years ago I think most of them got destroyed with my basement flooded but it's too expensive to replace them now
Black Manta is practically Darth Vader.Think about it he is one of the bad guys with strong black metal arm with an extremely deep voice and his son is one of the good guys. Like this comment if you agree.
LMAO omg @3:58 every time I watch that scene, where Black B kills Ra's Al Guhl, Artemis' reaction ALWAYS gets me. It's that kinda reaction like "oh..wow... daamn" or "The fuck..omg" lmaoo and like she's also thinking "...where's the popcorn" (Of course if it were one of her teammates she would've gone apeshit and or attempted to help)
Huh......Suddenly the Teen Titans and Beast Boy's backstory make a lot more sense. The villain in the end turned out to be The Brain. I never knew who the hell this brain was, where it came from, and why it was this villain of Beast Boy's old super hero gig before he joined the Titans. Also a pretty disturbing origin story for Gorilla City, as well as Ultra Humanite.
He was still Prince Orm. He was guarding the queen because he was keeping up appearances in order for Arthur to believe he's good. While in reality, he's plotting his brothers downfall
the lights whole thing about the Justice League stopping people from evolving against crime is kinda of dumb. They are literally fighting heroes who have evolved and adapted to stop crime.
