1:20- The artists of this soundtrack are geniuses! "Come Sail away, Come sail away..." That is a song by the band "STYX" ....Like the river Styx. OH MY GOSH!
Sam And I’m like, 99% sure it’s Grover. It even sounds like him and something he would say, search it up if you want to. *And get back to me when you do.* 😁
Nona Draws sameeee When my friend and I were reading the book and it said Thomas Jefferson we started just giving each other these eye communications like Blinks twice: Are you thinking of Hamilton Nods and blinks once: yes, yes I am
Rick Riordan, in his letters to the producers of the Percy Jackson movie: “...I fear the movie will be _dead on arrival_ with a seventeen year old lead.” Writers of the musical: *idea*
I think there's a nice one in Life of Brian/Spamalot. Goes along the lines of "Always look on the bright side of death" alongside a chorus of cheerful whistling.

You ain't ever gonna save what matters You ain't gonna protect your friends You ain't ever gonna be remembered This is where your story ends Today [ALL] D.O.A.!
Looking back at when our high school did this show, this was definitely my favorite song to work on. We had fly in light-up sign with the DOA logo on it, disco lights, cool zombie costumes and we even had a Thriller inspired dance for the last bit of the song I got to play Mozart in this number which was also incredibly fun
@@TheLightningThiefMusical it might just be a problem on my end but both editions of the album have the “come sail away” part before the “we get our kicks cross the river styx” part removed :( it doesn’t matter how i listen to them that part just isn’t there.
So here's a poll: Jasper In Deadland Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief Musical Which mythological musical do you prefer? Favorite song from either show. And guys, if they pick Jasper, please be more chill about it. Pun intended!
i just realized, near the end she's like targeting each of their goals/fears: "you're never gonna save what matters"-percy "you won't be able to protect your friends"-grover "you won't ever be remembered"-annabeth
*holds up laptop with thousands of fanfictions* THE LEGACY LIVES ON Legacy. What is a legacy? It's planting a seed in a garden that you never get to see.
To be fair, one third of Hades is Eulysium. Part of the Underworld is MEANT to be lit, the entrance is meant to be menacing, but only Tartarus is actually supposed to be horrid.
Bro why is nobody talking ab how the main singer killed it??? I’m so in love with her voice and she also absolutely KILLED it in Strong, she’s so underrated
Did you realize that she sang their fears "You ain't gonna save what matters" is Percy " you ain't gonna protect your friends" is Grover and " you ain't ever gonna be remembered" is Annabeth
How to make Percy Jackson better: everything is the same but Charon is a 70's female disco singer dancing and having a blast on his boat while the lost souls of the dead wanders for eternity in Asphodeles
Lydia Dysert I remember actually laughing SO HARD when I heard that line, I don’t know why that’s what got me when I heard this song for the first time
I just realised something. At one point of this song, the souls are singing "Come Sail Away", a song by a band called Styx. As in, river Styx. Just let that sink in for a bit.
