Honestly I think this is the best possible way they could have done the exposition for Camp Half-Blood. Like, sure they could have done a song that just explains what camp is like but instead they had a song that has an almost completely unrelated focus but still tells you everything you need to know.
Headcanon: Mr. D, since he's Dionysus, is literally just Hungover. He was black out drunk for many thousands of years, I would imagine, but now that he can't do the alcohol thing, as long as I remember, he'd be incredibly hungover, right? Maybe that's why he's so mean.

No but you can tell he genuinely cares about them to a certain degree because he could care less if they get hurt or don't stick to their schedule but agressively does give a dam.
