One of the best Lion King songs. In my opinion, this movie was almost as good if not just as good as the original. It just succumbs to the false myth that a sequel/remake can't be as good as the original.
Yesterday my father had a heart attack and was in the hospital; I watched this movie almost every day as a kid and know every song by heart. This is my dad and I's song; all day I sat in my room and listened to this, singing along every time until I lost my voice and hoping somehow my dad would know I was singing and just hoping he was ok. This song will forever be in my heart and I'm getting a tattoo of it over my heart. Love you dad, always, we are one.
@zdogABC Did you NOT see it in 3D?!?!?! It was EPIC!!! Was able to relive my whole childhood again when my boyfriend (24) took me (20) to see it!!! Was so incredibly happy!!! Sure it was a new way for Disney to get money but hell, I was wayyy more then willing to pay them!! lol!
I am the universe. I am life. I am God. You are me I am you. This is it. I can not exist without the universe and the universe can not be aware of itself without you and me.
Another Update: I've thought long and hard over the possible script for TLK3, and I revisited the first film, when I realized something. TLK is a story about growing up, and finding our place in the world. But that's only half the journey. It's one thing to find and accept our place in life, but another to actually DO it while still being true to yourself. TLK 2 moved away from this notion, and instead focused more on Kiara growing up and finding her place in life, which is the same as TLK.
Little Update: I've come up with a plot that I feel extremely confident in! While I can't go into the vivid details, I will say that it takes place after the events of TLK2, as the Pride Lands fall into desperate times. It also involves a deeper look into the origins of the Pride Lands and how it came to be.
I've kicked it around a bit, but haven't come up with anything that would be considered "movie material". At least not yet. Remember that a good sequel provides a double dose of what people enjoyed from the original film, but still manages to lack comparison to the original. The last thing I want to do is recreate the original Lion King.
This sequel is one of the most underrated films of all time. Movies like "Slumdog Millionaire" win 8 Oscars, and this movie gets mostly bad reception and almost no attention. (Talking of the sequel only)
Still trying to come up with an ideal villain. Has to be an upgrade over Scar: more sinister and physically stronger, not someone who will back down from a challenge. I also want him to be somewhat of a darker version of Simba. Some of the best villains are total opposites of the hero.
@philliesphreak10 Good luck and don't give up! The future of many rests upon your shoulders to get rid of the crudy Disney that's 'popular' today, no pressure. But really, many people are counting on peolpe like you who are quite rare to find. Just don't give up, and good luck.
@eaglefeathyr You know, I actually kinda agree with you. I think both movies have amazing qualities.. Lion King I = Amazing story, characters and superb ending Lion King II = Worthy Sequal, amazing songs and funny moments =P
My dad tells me that these movies are a symbol of God for Example he told me when Rafiki told Simba to Look in the River He saw his Mufasa's face and said "He Lives in you". That Symbolizes God living in us. Pretty interesting huh?
The way I see things, Hollywood needs to be reminded that better graphics and better technology don't = better storytelling. Traditional Animation still has plenty to offer movie-goers, it's simply a matter of finding the right script!
Luck! :) It's great that you're choosing to this. The magic of Disney deserves to live on for eternity, and shouldn't be killed off the way things are now! Go for it with all you have, and with enough time and effort you will succeed. Best wishes, hun.
i believe in you. I to am getting into that sort of stuff. Im going to hopefully bring back better cartoons that we use to all know and love. Not this stupid parental control and retarted cartoon crap we have today
@sugarskullsxx I agree - the plot was okay in the second one. It wasn't the worst sequel, but it wasn't the best either. But at least the music was still fantastic and true to the real Lion King spirit.
yeah i totally agree old disney was way much better then the juck they pass off now! LION KING and SPIRT and BALTO are my all time favorit disney movies ever i well never stop loving thoughts
This makes me just want to learn the best of animation-art and create the greatest musicvideo with lions and other savannah animals. Imagine goldenbrown fur, detailed to perfection and the.. Good song.
@bigmigs94 old disney is comming back! They just started basing their movies on old fairy tales like "Tangled" from rapunzel and "The Princess and the Frog" from the princess and the from lol
Does anyone else feel like they're actually there in the savannah with Simba and Kiara when they listen to this with headphones on? Some serious surround sound! ^^
Fear not! I'm still just a college student, but if I can become a successful filmmaker as I hope to become, I have a plan to bring back the disney we all know and love! Wish me luck!
@RowanBerry100 yes he banished kovu but he got ambushed and zara told kovu the plan worked so if you just got ambushed like dat and believed it was a setup would yu welcome bak kovu?
I have an idea, but I need to expand it, make all the pieces fit together perfectly. I also want there to be a little as comparison to the original as I possibly can.
Omg luv this movie and song one if my favorites! Why can't they make more Disney classics!!! I'm sad theyre not gonna make anymore Disney princess movies :( Loved them! -3
@RowanBerry100 >_> Simba could've been and was almost killed by that ambush so I think if anything welcoming him back was the last thing on his mind at that moment. LOL
I love this song... it goes great with the storyline of the Lion King, Thumbs up if you agree, or don't... I dont want people to think i want thumbs ups from everybody...
thanks for the video. i love this movie when i was a toddler and still love it even though im 18. good luck on becoming a filmmaker to bring back the old disney.
i wish they show lion king 1 2 and 1 1/2 on disney again and take off wat ever plays now and balto and spirit are dream works which works with disney alot
Such a great song!! Though I think Kiara's singing voice goes a tad sharp during the solo xP Who cares though.. it's still undoubtedly a really awesome piece =)
inbox me. I'm willing to hear suggestions, but I can't promise you anything. The only ideas I would use (hopefully) are the ones that I think will work.
By "He lives in you" Rafiki meant Simba's father, Mufasa. These movies in no way symbolize "God". Don't let your religion trick you out of the true depth and meaning of the Lion King films.
