Fun fact: Lebo M sang the Nants part from "Nants ingonyama bagithi baba" longly and beautifully during the sunrise scene at the start of this movie to warn everyone at the cinema and when they're watching the movie that Simba is coming. And a lot of people thought that he sounded like that he was screaming and singing at the same time at the sun like a rooster because he was scared of the sun rising in Africa, and lots of people got scared by this scene just before the movie began and got ready to watch The Lion King and wait for the song Hakuna Matata to play. It was so popular that everyone got obsessed with this part of the song the Circle of Life and the whole movie and they kept singing it all the time and they all made fun out of that scene for some humor on the internet.

This just does something to me that I can’t explain.. the power of music is not just about the meaning behind the song. The power comes with the “actual” sounds of it all. I’m a mixed race Jamaican/English man. I “identify” as black (i fucking hate that word [identify]} but Africa man....cradles MY humanity.

Nope....wouldn't have been right to do something like that. The Lion King is it's own thing and the Black Panther is it's own thing. Plus the music was awesome in the Black Panther a nice mix of the sounds of the African Continent and more modern beats.
