Winner of six 1998 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, The LION KING has also earned more than 70 major arts awards in America and worldwide. The show’s director, costume designer and mask co-designer Julie Taymor continues to play an integral part in the show’s ongoing success, and holds the honor of the first woman to win a Tony Award for Direction of a Musical.

I saw the show in London on Wednesday and we had a group of children sitting close to us and I felt so bad for George Asprey who plays Scar, they were all booing him. I was cheering extra loud, because he was AMAZING

When I went to watch Aladdin, the person doing Jafar got booed at. plus there was a scene where Jafar gets revenge on aladdin and some people were booing him

I prefer getting autographs from people who play the villains. It's much harder to play a villain and much more fun :P

On sof my favorite scar one liners is when he Is about to push Mufassa off the ledge and he says "Long live the ling." he didnt need some dramatic speech. All his villain army is summed up in four words.

They boo at the villains? That's kind of backwards... But, an emotional effect has been made and it's the way of expressing the negative feelings toward the villain character - job well done!

I was the only person in the lion king Jr. For my school that played a character as the "wrong gender" so I told them "it's nice to see a small 7th grade girl able to stand up and yell at a 9th grade boy with out fear." I defiantly changed from a meak book worm to an evil vilan as soon and I put the costume on.

Is there really any competition in who's the baddest, (as in, best), villain in all of the Disney animated films? From what I've seen, a large majority of the others villains rely on their powers and strength, over being clever, deceiving, and intelligent like Scar. Plus, he's Disney's representation of Claudius, the villain from Shakespeare's well-known play, "Hamlet". Those right there, are reasons why he has 2b the best villain on Broadway. "Long live the King!"
