I want to relex and rest for some time my dear friends ! I have my heavy hand works and assignments chats (drawing pictures and so on ) and doing seminars and lecturing and singing and dancing !so I am so tired of it and want some rest !but ?!?!?!?! I wonder if there is anyone nowadays who can read the letter present at the beginning of the film, written in cursive 🤔

I read it. It was difficult, but not because i cant read cursive script, but because i am old, my eyes are not as sharp as they use to be!

Anyone over 40 should be able to, I would think. Deciphering some of the handwriting is a different story. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I like that next one that starts out "Karl Dear, are you alive or dead?" 🤔😂

Anyone from U.S. public schools over 50 years old or so (or parochial school students 40yyrs old or so) learned cursive (or longhand as some of us called it then). The fact that students of the last 40 years all block print like an army of effing 5 year old's is an indictment of American education.

Yes, anyone over 45 should but the handwriting was the problem. So was the age of the film print which made it difficult. Some private schools, and charter schools still teach (as an elective subject) cursive. I read it and can write it as well as an educated adult (obviously not the YT generation who can barely read typeface).

The Germans have 91 on their epaulettes. Upside down, it says 16, referring to the 16th Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment, where Adolf Hitler served.
