I still have goosebumps oh my godddd. Halle Bailey had something to PROVE, and she did. I’m so thrilled to hear more of her, and it’s so admirable how clear it is that she had the best voice. What ppl overlook is that what makes these movies special is the music- first above all else.

Someone on Twitter said the movie was to dark and people said "what trailer are you watching" and the person tried to check us and post screenshots of Ariel saving Eric and her swimming to Ursula's cave. Like God forbide night time under water and a deep sea cave are dark in a movie😂😂

One thing I learnt from this trailer, this movie can be terrible and it wouldn't matter; this girl can carry the film with her voice alone, incredible; hiring an actual professional singer makes a lot of difference. That belt at the end gave me life......let's goooooooo

People being mad about her casting always confused me (but not really because are we surprised by people being racist assholes). As an Asian gay man and also a human (lol), I look nothing like Ariel. And yet I still am able to relate to Ariel’s struggles. You don’t have to look like someone to relate to them. Great reaction! And I am totally looking forward to this!!!

I'm a 44 year old straight white guy. I only mention that to point out that I'm probably not in the typical demographic for this type of movie. When I tell you I will be there on opening weekend in front of the biggest screen possible with an extra large bucket of popcorn, I mean every word of it. So excited for this movie!❤

Disney knows what they are doing and I hope Ariel gets at least one new original song. Because as one of the other comments said Halle could carry this film on her voice alone! But I also see a lot of charisma in her as Ariel. That shot of her turning with a look of determination gave me goosebumps as well as the note at the end! I can see exactly why they chose her that was clearly a carefully crafted choice and I wish they always put that much love into remakes! I’m also very excited for the music. Everything we’ve heard so far from the film has been more than what I could have hoped for and It’s almost remixed in a way for Halle’s powerful voice. Thank you for reacting so fast ❤️

I loved that they improved the graphics for the underwater shots and they added more vibrancy with the colors! I am a little worried with certain scenes with the direction of the acting but overall, I love this trailer!

I was in my freshman year in college when the original was released back in 1989. I saw it on a date with my then GF and it was an immediate all time favorite with me. I had no idea what to expect. Well it's over 3 decades later and I can't WAIT for this live version. I'll make sure and bring a date :)

My only thing is that disney should have went more red in the hair instead of the copper look.. Not crazy like the cartoon red, just not the copper look either.. but I like it over all.
