They got the main thing right: Haley Bailey can sing, which is the most key trait that anyone playing Ariel needs. In the teaser bit shown, I like how the music and singing work between making sure it ties to the original, while also allowing her to add her own notes and infliction to the lyrics she is singing. The ocean looks dark, but we don't necessarily know whether that will be a constant or whether it's at night. And the special effects on the tail are amazing.

I think the muted colors are intentional, seeing as how this is from Ariel's point of view. It's drab and dreary. She wants a change of scenery. She wants to be on land.

This is a teaser not a trailer. But oh my goodness what a great teaser. I loved this. The tale looks amazing. She looks so pretty, she is pretty. Her hair is beautiful. And oh my gosh the water, the scenery, I love this. Her voice is beyond words, like the voice of a mermaid should be. I can't wait for the soundtrack of this. Finally Disney got my really hyped for a live action adaptation.

The Little Mermaid is one of the earliest movies I remember seeing as a child. Alan Menken's music has followed me my entire life. Those musical notes; they got to me! I know them by heart! Halle looks good as Ariel. I'm really glad they were able to adapt her so well. It's actually quite effective!

The color are muted because she is sitting on a rock of the bottom where light is dimmed, to make a contrast with the top of the ocean. Or to be in sync with her emotions.

The way the trailer started i was expecting to see nemo swimming around somewhere. And when she started singing, that was great. She was great singing the national anthem yesterday. This will be a musical hit for 2023
