I know this isn't new. But let's be real for a moment. These albums were destined for this more than anything else. It's almost as if the torch has been passed down to these young faces and the entire story being told is...new again.
I was ushering at the show in New York's City Center, saw the show at least 15 times and still could not get enough. The entire cast is over-the-top talented and they all get along well with each other. I was appreciative to experience this special event. Someone should turn this into a movie for crying out loud.
We've seen it twice in 2 weeks in Manchester and I would go see it again with that cast fantastic . We sat next to a couple from London who had seen it 20 times over the years. Buy ticket worth every penny .
I'm a 61 year old guy from the U.K., the music of Meatloaf runs through my life and my veins. It is truly fantastic to see these young talented people in this musical translate the beauty of the music. RESPECT !!
I feel the same... All of this songs was, is and will be forever the gorgeous soundtrack of my life... Hope so much, that coming generation will also found so much happpieness and joy in each of these awsome masterpieces!
MY FIRST TIME SEEING THIS.... I HAVE NO WORDS! YOUR FIRST COUPLE HAVE CHEMISTRY LIKE THE MEATLOAF HIMSELF PORTRAYED. BUT THE WHOLE CAST IS SENSATIONAL HERE. I HOPE WHEN THIS COVID IS OVER, AND STAGES OPEN AGAIN, THIS REOPENS TO FULL HOUSE! THAT LAST ANYTHING FOR LOVE, IS BANG FULL OF STANDING OVATIONS! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FEW ENCORE IN THE FINAL SET.... YOU WILL GET THEM.
I am huge fan of MEATLOAF and could not imaging that anybody is able to perform like him, but being in London last month went with my lovely wife to Dominion Theatre to see show -OMG what a spectacle !!! So far only clips are available online , can't wait till full video will be posted.Video effects , sound , acting and actors talent at the highest level.Last time i was so impressed in 1985 watching Deep Purple in Hollywood ,FL.Jim Steinman is genius composer , just wandering what took him so long to create such wonderful musical . BRAVO !!!
Bat Out Of Hell is the greatest album of all time. The lyrics, the instrumentation, the mood changes, the stories. A perfect blend of everything. Meat played 12 times in Ireland & I never missed a visit. Phenomenal. Incomparable.
Aug 20th 2020 I never saw the BMW until it was too late ended up with a spinal cord injury and now in a power wheelchair the same colour as my bike was I was paralysed from arms down so on the 20th of Aug this year I’m going to the Bristol Hippodrome to see Bat Out Of Hell and when watching it will be the same time I would have been having my first life saving operation. Going to be singing my head off and crying at the same time. Can’t wait
Sheer Class , I saw this in Manchester , everyone sang every song a testament to Jim Steinman , Meatloaf who gave them life and the amazingly talented cast .
We were in Manchester!!!! The only thing we weren't allowed to do is dance... Woman who sat next to me got into trouble with venue staff for dancing. XD Perfect show, amazing cast, OUTSTANDING VOCALS, the visual effects were on point, and the set was just in a world of its own. This defines a stage production!!!!
I was so fortunate that they extended to musical at the Dominion in Oct 2018 - My daughter and I had an Express UK/Ireland/France wedding trip - I grew up with this Music, Introducing my daughter to this event and music was very special - Gosh i was even having tears
09.03, I cannot believe how these 2 knock it out of the park. This blew me away, both live shows I attended in Dublin, 31st Aug & 15th Sept. I pray the show visits Ireland again.
Went to see this it was the best musical by far everyone singing along but it was sad that it was Andrew polec's and another cast members last night performing
I love this however I’m unsure about the guy who’s playing Jagwire. Don’t get me wrong they’re all f**king talented but he just stands out to me for some reason.
It took this musical to really understand what it is that I find romantic. keep your flowers and hallmark crap, are you willing to be damned with me, do you promise to never stop dreaming of me? Cos that's the real s***.
Wow!!! Very impressive. Everyone. There are some bat videos out there were people just make asses out if themselves. Not this group , they took it to the next level. Very tasteful!
Its not bad, the guy just doesn't go all in like Meatloaf, which is understandable when they do it every night. Meatloaf approves so that's all that I need to know looks like a pretty fun show to see live, I think the second guy maybe would de better on Bat out of Hell, I would switch them.
that chubby-buff guy with the long hair is a fucking decent look alike for meat but im betting he didnt have the right voice for it, this blonde guy is pretty damn spot on with the vocals.
Not even Meat - the album ran long so it was sped up to compress it enough to fit on an LP - he says it left him trying to recreate a sound he never made.
The performers are all quite talented, but I know the album so intimately that I can’t really hear them singing, nor the musicians playing... I can only hear how it *doesn’t* Sound or feel like the original. It just feels like overblown karaoke. I know that’s unfair to the cast and crew, but it’s just too overwhelming.
I was a little surprised that this was held in a Church given the suggestive nature of some of the lyrics and gyrating dance moves. Two of the performers at the end even give what is commonly known as the Devils horn hand sign! (25:30) .. Love Meat loaf and would enjoy this in a Theatre, but in a Church, just not appropriate!. What were they thinking?.
WHY NOT.... MARVIN LEE ADAY HAD PATTI RUSSO BY HIS SIDE, FILLING OUT WITH HIM. SERIOUSLY, LISTEN AGAIN, MEATLOAF'S VOICE IS RARELY EVER FOUND IN 1 PERSON ANDREW IPOLEC IS LIKELY THE CLOSEST IVE SEEN TO OUR ORIGINAL.
Meatloaf is rolling in his grave I bet!!! Shouldn’t they had gotten a heavyset tenor singer (and I’m pretty sure they’re out there) than a skinny blonde haired dude??? Seriously! Did Meat know about this before he passed away???
Jim Steinman used to watch it on a live link each night and Meat Loaf saw the show twice. Somewhere there’s even a video of him singing with the Broadway cast
well,,,, that's the biggest abomination of a church I've ever seen!!! dont get me wrong, I like meatloaf, but it doesn't belong in a church in no way, or fashion!! had I known this was taking place in a church, I wouldn't have even turned it on!! it would be great in a theater, but dude I just couldn't enjoy myself in a church watching that, worried the whole time if the stage was going to burst into flames! lol. yea I'm sorry but bad choice of location!!
