When I saw them in Pontiac Michigan, they played with 4 Australian bands. They played 2nd. Most people left after them, rather than see Jet or The Vines.. ya :)
Seen them in Atlanta around 2000, they stuck around and talked to people after the performance. My brother and I got to shake their hands and tell them that they were awesome.
Just for the record, a couple of years ago, went to see Chisel (My Favourite Band) at Perth Arena (probably not the best venue I have seen them at). The Living End Killed it. One of the top 5 shows I have had the pleasure to witness. They do deserve greater acknowledgement, but popularity not talent is what counts today.
they did make it here. im born and raised in nyc and i love these guys. chris is one of the most talented guitar players in the world. sorry they weren't on trl, but they've got millions of fans.
whats everyone complaining about? his voice sounds perfectly fine to me, better than a lot of other punk, or rock (or psychobilly or whatever you want to call them) bands out there, his voice just sounds matured from when they first started like... almost (if not more) 20 years ago? Stop complaining, enjoy the music, and be glad they are still playing what they love
lol at the green day comment. first time i heard TLE was i saw the music video for prisoner of society on mtv and said "this is green day with TALENT." then i bought their cd and said these guys are in a whole other league than green day.
What a shame Channel Nine didn't see the significance of this last night. Pre-game entertainment. Aired one song before moving to ads about gambling etc and we didn't get to see TLE performance. Criminal.
Saw Them with dead Kennedy's n another band n 88 finger louie. Living end is better than dead Kennedy's! But 88 finger louie is still my favorite band.
mentioning the stray cats actually there my favorite band and its threw a brian seter video with chris chesney they i got into the living end ive thought they were awesome ever since! :)
its not you, apparently thats the look he's going for. They did start off as a stray cat cover band so it makes sense that he would start emulating setzer at some point. AWESOME VIDEO. Thank you so much for posting!!
heard they just finished a rap-rock record produced by fred durst of limp bizkit. they're calling it "slammin ass with the big dogs". it's gonna fuckin rule!
i am 12 years old and i love the living end and green day and can just say that they are not alike, like some people are saying, also what is the name of the first song, its on the tip of my tongue but for the sake of me i can't think of the name
nope he doesn't...he moved to NY due to the heat. he still has his house in st kilda but spends more time in NY but thanks for the insult on the end...makes you look so good on you tube..
Did Chris take up smoking or something? I've seen these guys live many times and he's always put on an amazing show and sung very well, this is just sad :-(
green day with a double bass? someone has never listened to their other stuff...look at chris's guitar playing for a start. and the double bass is in there from their roots. and they did make it in america. chris fucking lives over there...so shut it.
if you want to post your crap on youtube you are subject to whatever criticism/compliments come your way. if you can't take it stop trying to be a rock star.
