I feel like I may have ADHD too, but I'm terrified to ask to get a diagnosis, because if I don't have it I'll just feel terrible because it would just mean I'm a lazy piece of shit who can't get anything done for no reason, and if I do have it, my mother's gonna go on a rant all over again about how it's my fault that I'm like this and that my father raised me like shit. Same with depression and anxiety. She'd be so pissed if I had any of those, and I'm fucking terrified to go to a therapist.

@@communistpropaganda3629 a diagnosis is the most important step into counteracting the mental illness and if you are not diagnosed then you have another chance at facing your inner demons. Either way these things about yourself must be overcome. And no offense, but it does not sound like you have a good mother at all.

You're not doing yourself any favours by hurting yourself pretending to be something you're not. It'll be hard but you absolutely must overcome the trauma as well as the fear of judgement. If we stay in bed, on our phones, or in the shower for a bit too long, according to her (Who is a NURSE, like seriously?) we're depressed or mentally slow, which prompts her to go on another rant and she'll begin to blame my father. Honestly, I just feel stuck, because if I did have ADHD or depression, the moment she'd find out she would go insane. Thing is, she constantly talks to her friends about my brother and me (He went to prison a while back, and she was devastated, she begged us not to tell anyone about it whenever we have guests over), and brags or complains about anything she can. So, obviously, she doesn't want to look bad if I end up having a mental condition, which is why she'll blame it on my father. I'm gonna repeat a year right now because I couldn't get any work done and kept having anxiety attacks, even in class- and she called me every name possible, telling me I should be ashamed for failing, and that I used to be so smart and polite, that I used to be better (gifted child and all that, even skipped a grade), so if you add the whole mental illness thing, I'm definitely getting my phone taken away, which is gonna send me into a panic, because at this point I practically can't live without it. Plus, the last time I tried to go on my computer during summer break, she went on an absolute fit about how I should be studying because I failed my year and started hitting me. I'm really trying to see from her perspective, but I still can't understand how she's not realizing how badly she's treating her children. TL;DR - My mother is terrified of not having herself look perfect, so the only way for me to see a professional with her knowledge is to have to listen to my parents argue all the time, which will worsen if I ever get diagnosed with anything. (So sorry for the rant, but I just needed to get some stuff out, even if that wasn't all of it. I'm thankful for being born in rather good conditions, but I still feel like my mother's making my life miserable.)

@Gemtem I made the lyrics when the video was uploaded and there wasn’t any lyrics in description, they usually only add the lyrics in description 1 week later (every person that watched all of this TLT album when it was released knows this) but I guess you came late, that’s understandable.
