Wonderful casting. Persuasive performances. The characters come alive. Bridget's lilting Irish brogue is captivating, enthralling, brilliant. Kudos to the actress. Thanks to everyone for their hard work.

Thank you very much. I was also very pleased with her reading of Bridget. I'll forward your comments on. Take care.

Whoever did the voice acting for Mrs Churchill deserves an award, her voice mannerisms really do portray a historical quality. Absolutely love the whole series you have done with the Borden case, we get to hear a first hand account of the trail, without any of the bias that we get from other Borden documentaries.

What is messed up is people are expected to know every little detail of what happened a little over a year later.
@LionsDenAudioTheatre
@LionsDenAudioTheatre 3 года назад
For sure. Especially when they get into the time lines. Questions like, "was it 11:00 or 11:15?" would drive me nuts. Even a day later, I'd be clueless.

Hi Adam, it takes time to learn anything new. Just hang in there. That's why I keep my episodes to 25 minutes. 😎

@@lizziebordenaudio I took Adam's comment to refer to the witnesses being asked to recall minute details of what happened a year after the event. You're absolutely right, though, about episode length. Our first few were close to or over an hour. Much easier to digest it all if they are smaller.

@@lizziebordenaudio I was not referring to me being expected to remember every little detail of the video. I was referring to the expectation placed on the witnesses to remember details of what happened a little over a year ago.

Bowen did good job also. Everyone has done a great job. Voices fit pictures very believable. Great emotions come through. Good work.

Bridget Sullivan comes across as evasive and uncooperative to the Defense Team, at least to my ears. That's curious, because her testimony seems to support the Defense.
@LionsDenAudioTheatre
@LionsDenAudioTheatre 2 года назад
Absolutely. There are a lot of people who think that she's hiding some complicity. I've always been inclined to think that she was hesitant to tell tales outside of the home because it was generally considered to be the absolute worst thing a servant could do.

But we really don’t know Bridget or anyone else answered these questions. We know what they said but we don’t know how they said it. Frustrated, sarcastic, confident, affirmative. Nothing. These actresses and actors (which are AWESOME) are playing these roles as the interpret I assume?

Maybe Lizzie used thr flat iron she was ironing hankies with that day. They came in diff sizes & weighed anywhere between 3-9 lbs . Easy to to swing, pointed & a handle too. The biggest zig zag wound on Abbys head in her autopsy photo (online)looks like a pointed shaped weapon hit her. Also you'd expect the wounds to be slits if a hatchet was used but they're all v v shirt but v deep . ... The point of the flat iron maybe, holding it 2 handed point down....She wore the coat found folded under Andrews head. The photo shows the sofa had 2 cushions so why use your coat under your head. Also the weird half his legs off the sofa & tightly closed together pose suggests he was sitting upright when hit , then fell to the side. Otherwise surely he'd have a cushion where his back would be in contact with the sofa had he been lying down.

I agree that the flat iron is a definite possible weapon. I'll have to look into the coat again, it's been a while since I went down that rabbit hole. My thought on Andrew's positioning flip flops a bit. I wonder if he was sleeping, sort of on an angle, and the first hit or two woke him up or, at least instinctively caused his legs to react as if he was about to stand. If one follows the path that Lizzie wanted to kill Abby and Andrew is dead because he came home too early, there may have been some hesitation in those first few hits. Certainly deeper stuff than I'm qualified to go too far into ;) Thanks so much for your comment and thoughts :)

It seems to me these lawyers haven't changed over the decades. Between the stupid questions they ask, on and on and on about such things as the colour of the dresses everyone wore and they keep asking Bridget what time was this, what time was that, after she has told them she didn't know, and like she'd be glancing at the clocks every minute of the day. Watch the Simpson trial and it was exactly the same, one stupid question after another gaining no important information to the case. I'm no lawyer but after watching and/or listening to these cases I am pretty confident I could do a much better job with no conceit.
@LionsDenAudioTheatre
@LionsDenAudioTheatre 2 года назад
For sure. The legal practices have definitely not changed much over the years. Glad you pointed out the Simpson trial, there are a lot of similarities between the two cases. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The repetition is a recognised tactic. Police interrogations on YT show it's quite successful. Its to wear a witness down until they slip up and contradict themselves or change their story again .
@Flagrum3
@Flagrum3 Год назад
@@sarahholland2600 It may be a tactic used in police interrogation, but no place in court. It is up to the judge to keep things going straight forward. Limiting repetitive questions is part of that.
@sarahholland2600
@sarahholland2600 Год назад
I don't see why not in Court. In the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial both sides used that tactic & Amber was caught out quite a few times, changing or lying about important details . If it gets someone to slip up...all the better.

Just a question - Why was Robinson portrayed/read by a woman?
@LionsDenAudioTheatre
@LionsDenAudioTheatre 3 года назад
Thanks for the question. A few characters have been cross cast throughout the trial. It’s mainly to give some vocal variation throughout the project. It's also to allowed us to feature some female actors in prominent roles. Purely practical with no message/meaning behind it. Thanks again. Have a good one.
