Hi George. Excellent video, mate. I personally don't believe Ono would let anything of her dead husband out of her sight. She was quick to pounce on the house Lennon owned in Gateacre after he died. She had no time or respect for any of his Liverpool family.
Did HE have any respect for Liverpool or his family? He wanted nothing to do with Liverpool once he was famous, much preferred to live in London or Surrey - not to mention leaving the UK altogether. None of the Beatles or even Cilla Black would go there once they got some cash. I read years ago, there was some anniversary and they asked Paul to attend, and he couldn't be bothered to go. Apart from being born there, I don't think Liverpool can have much claim on the Beatles, unless you want to know them before they were famous.
@@treasurehunteruk9718that isn’t true about Paul . He even paid to refurbish the Liverpool school making it a music school and every year he plays on the Cavern.
@@stevemorris6790 It's true he's involved with LIPA, and attends the graduation every year as well as hosting some masterclasses, but sadly his Cavern gigs are few and far between (1999 and 2018 being the last 2 I can remember).
Well if you listen to Cynthia on you tube reading her book she said Mimi was a not so nice lady. She said John's mother was a lovely lady. So don't blame yoko. Good Lord she was married to John and last I knew the spouse does what their spouse wanted. John liked to visit England but he felt at home in New York. Please let Yoko be in peace she's 90 and in ill health. Have some compassion. Yoko did the New Your spot for the fans. So that's a kind thing she did. She could have kept him in an urn. Sure his sons will take good care of John.
The professor I took history of rock & roll from (Glenn Gass at Indiana University) said the same thing 20 years ago (that John's ashes were scattered on his mother's grave) and said he confirmed that locally from people who would know. He acted like he was letting the class in on secret that wasn't widely known. He taught several "Beatles in England" summer classes over the years where he'd take students to the various sites.
Thank you for this intriguing upload, G. Y O seems to be narcissistic, especially regarding the aforementioned subject. By the way, I almost met John one old Saturday at 3 Savile Row, January 1970, when I had arranged to meet him to discuss a song I had written. I waited for circa two and a half hours, before deciding to return to Livingston, Scotland. I had already been advised by the beautiful and charming receptionist et al., Debbie Wellum, that John was often late on Saturdays. (Yes, I was a 19-year-old fool.) On the way down the outside stairs, I noticed two old metal dustbins (uncapped), overflowing with edits from the basement studios. I thought about getting a few string-handled brown paper shopping bags, to fill with tape edits, but then thought I might look like a scrounger ... *Yes, I really was a 19-year-old fool.* Thank you for the video (and the memories). Hi George, thanks for this film. I’d never heard that but the fact that the surname is not on the grave and that. Sandstone is embedded on top could deter fanatics from interfering with the grave so is plausible. I wonder if the sandstone was there before John was supposed to have been buried there. Really interesting, I’ll share this with friends and family who will be interested too. Thank you .
Hi bernadette glad you liked it i never thought of why that sandstone is there it kind of makes sense now you mention it Very interesting this and one ive been fascinated with for many years Thanks for sharing it much appreciated
Great video I am a big fan of John Lennon.I live in Manchester and made a few trips to Merseyside to photograph landmarks relating to the Beatles.I was amazed by the short distance between Julia's resting place and her former home at 1 Blomfield Road.Must have been about a mile.As to ashes I always thought some were scattered around Strawberry Fields in Central Park New York and some of his ashes are kept in an urn under Yoko's bed.
Thank you for this video. I had no idea his mother was struck by a vehicle. I always thought she was driving and a car hit her. I always appreciate videos like this and learn the truth. Ty🙏
I can't understand the person on the recording. I took a private tour when I was in Liverpool in 2014. We went to Julia's grave and there was a new small ceramic cat that hadn't been there last time he was there, but Sean had been in town a few days before and he assumed Sean would have put it there. Also the marker had changed at some point and it was believed that was where they put his ashes, under the new marker.
Hi George maybe one day Yoko might inform us about John's ashes, but l though his ashes was buried at his mums grave but can't remember where l heard about this a long time ago interesting video thanks for sharing 👍
I honestly think he is buried at this cemetery with his mum far to many people I've spoken to say exactly the same Maybe yoko one day can confirm where his ashes are or what was done with them Thanks for watching martin glad you liked it
I hoping one day Yoko will disclose of his burial site. Maybe then the people and family who were so close to him can give him a proper ceremony. I know it will be filled with lots of love 💕

...Yoko Ono is never going to disclose sod all !!!! She never told ANY of John's family in England anything about what was happening, much less was anyone invited, only Julian..( she could hardly have excluded him from THAT as well...) and only, strictly, without Cynthia!! ...Yoko Ono is so selfish it's unbelievable! ...she even took away the house from Julia Baird after John's death..,this was a home that was bouht by John for his sister... all that peace and love business...my a..e ! 😢
Good content this, really intrigued me. The thing is if it wasn’t an exhumation for some reason (these used to always done overnight) then if John has had his ashes put there then I think it has to be on public record with the council, I think. Must be a record of it. A nice thought to think he is with his mum again. Very sad about her though, terrible tragedy to happen. Thanks George, grabbed me like your videos do.
Cheers mate glad you like the video its a really strange one great if he i with his mum as yoko has never confirmed where his ashes are apparently mentioned they were under her bed also apparently scattered in new york but thats also not confirmed Guess we will.never know Thanks for watching as always mate much appreciated
Live by Allerton Cemo for over 50yrs, well known John is in with his Mam, Strange this, but nearby is Cilla Black, Ken Dodd, all Top Liverpudlians who hit the Big time in the 60's.
Hi mate..You know that I wasn't entirely comfortable with you covering this..But you have done it respectfully..its plausible..and the tale was (common local knowledge)..
Yeh i did try a few different video approaches but this one was the only one that seemed to work Been fascinated with this story for years good to finally do a video on it Cheers for watching mate
Same tbh. I'm surprised it hasn't been covered before now, but at the same time glad, although this was done respectfully and would have happened sooner or later.
I'm a scouser and a huge Lennon fan. I've never heard this story before. Fascinating to listen to and the video was very respectfully made. New subscriber now 👍
Also my driver took me by the first home John had as a baby. Workers were refurbishing it and we stopped to chat. Sean had apparently purchased it and that's why he was there a few days earlier but he didn't get out of the limousine!
Hi George. My family & myself are from Liverpool I now live in USA I've visited the Dakota a number of times & I heard that because fans was singing so loud all through the night Yoko came down & asked them to stop saying let me mourn, so she then had strawberry fields built across from her apartment for fans to visit, there & central park is were I was led to belive ( some not all) of his ashes was spread. Some people say she didnt even spread them she had staff do it??? Keep up the good work. Thomas Mccarten p.s. my dad knows your dad ✌
Yoko should have had buried John's ashes by his mother's gravesite in Liverpool, maybe if Yoko still has his ashes, and after she passes away, Sean will do exactly that. I always heard that Yoko keeps John ashes under her bed, or they were scattered in STRAWBERRY FIELDS IN NEW YORK.
The strawberry fields one apparently has no confirmation of ever been scattered there but have heard they are under her bed so who knows maybe he is buried on allerton cemetery
What do you expect from a narcissistic homewrecker who hated his son and family. I do not believe she sent his ashes here in the UK. Rip Cynthia and mummy Lennon
@@bernedettekuteyi3843 Yes, was she TOO SELFISH TO BURY HIM, as I read he DID NOT WANT TO BE CREMATED, but unfortunately that is what Yoko did, and NO FUNERAL TO LET PEOPLE AND FAMILY MEMBERS, pay their respects.
@@dianetherkildsen2686 I'm curious to know how Paul felt about it. Knowing that John did call Paul his brother several times. It's so very unfortunate. 🥺
I couldn't understand what the man on the recording said. i turned on closed captions and it couldn't decipher most of what he said either. Too bad, it would've been nice to know what he said.
@@g2emedia1977 His accent is thick and I'm unaccustomed to hearing people with that accent. My hearing is great. I hope John is buried with his mother but I doubt Yoko would allow it. Also, some cemeteries in the US don't allow the ashes of a person to be buried as it's considered by some to be a sin. I'm looking forward to part 2
Poor john lost his uncle goerge who he loved. his mother julia after regaining contact again such a shame she got killed on menlove ave i know what like it is losing a family member being killed by a car john had a chip on his shoulder sad for jaqui and julie too not forgetting its their mum too rip ❤❤❤
Maybe because I'm American, but I couldn't understand what that guy was saying in the audio portion of the video. I got a word here or there, but that's it.
Very interesting video i just wish i could understand the guy you were speaking to. I only caught bits here and there but the bits i did catch were very interesting. Forgive my American ears, i can’t understand the heavy scouse accent but i love it. 😜
Cheers thanks for watching yes sorry i had to change his voice as he is related to the lennons.....in a nutshelm he says lennons ashes are buried there
Boss vid this george i did hear this myth many years ago so who knows lots of speculation over this one Keep up the good work mate really enjoy the content
I always fell after beatlemania he lose the control of his life with strange people sorounding him 24/7 just for fame celebs execeses etc its pretty sad
@@g2emedia1977 Hi George i got some info that may be of use to you something you may know or you dont in the line of fire of that Pillbox can meet you and share if its not to late.
@@g2emedia1977 google it, also Lennon was a hypocrite, he preached about having no possessions but owned a complete floor in the Dakota apartment’s and had a room for his fur coats. I think we all need better people to influence us.
Where would John's Father, Alfred Lennon be buried. Sure John was responsible for his burial. He wanted to get close to his at the end of life but, he die of cancer very soon after John looked him up again.
Why did the video photo change, and why can’t you hear what this person is saying? Was his voice distorted to protect his identity? Very frustrating, and completely defeats the purpose of making the video. I appreciate your making it, but if you cannot even hear it, what’s the point?
Yoko Ono never has yet (and probably never will?) disclose the true whereabouts of John Lennon's cremated remains?, once I heard a story that she had him in a vase inside the Dakota apartment but whether that's true or not has to be confirmed?, but the fact that Yoko never gave John a proper dignified funeral after he died let alone properly disclose where his cremated remains are speaks volumes of the sort of woman she really really is?, John & Yoko always wanted peace✌️& love ❤️ in this crazy violent world 🌎& wanted to live together in peace & love, soon Yoko will eventually be together with John & will definitely be in peace forever although sadly not quite the way they originally planned.
Do you all really believe that ?? Give me a break. First he Did NOT want Cremation. And a few hours after he was cold blooded killed someone had him cremated. HELLO. Julie Kilburn. ISA
