THE LODGE || Ben & Danielle - Perfect // Their Story 

I love their story, I never thought I would ship them but season 2 changed my mind, they made me see the good in them, beautiful vid!!

This was really well done! I've loved Ben from season 1 and the writers kept him the same amazing Ben in season 2. From the start, he was sensitive, caring, sweet and considerate. In season 1 he was the one who gave Skye the idea to save the Lodge from being sold, the one who helped her get there in time, the one who gave her advice and never judged her for anything. He genuinely liked her and their relationship was actually cute (until the kiss ofc)- he NEVER did anything against Skye (or anyone), ever, not in either season. He was an attentive boyfriend who introduced her to the tree, the one who knew exactly what she did and didn't like on a date because he's just that thoughtful. In season two he gave Sean dating advice and stayed loyal to him, when he definitely didn't have to. He was always the softie of the group, and he got along with everyone there. Sean on the other hand, kissed Skye when he was still with Danielle and went behind his own best friend. Then he acted entitled, as if Skye needed to like him back, and he never apologized to Skye for putting her in that situation, or to Danielle for CHEATING on her, or Ben his loyal best mate. He got better in season 2, yk, less brooding and we got to see more playful sides to him, but he still put other things in front of Skye and despite everything Ben did to help him, he put other things in front of Ben too. Sometimes, I get it, he really had no choice, and I liked where they took Sean's character especially with his dad, but still. He was never attentive to Skye's needs and wants, unlike Ben was. Danielle's development was great in season 2. Honestly as someone who got cheated on, she lowkey deserved to get revenge on everybody involved. It wasn't the most moral thing but satisfying nonetheless. In season two we see her become much more vulnerable and yet still confident and unapologetically girlboss-y, which I love. She deserves someone who'd put her first and treat her right, and Ben was the only one to give her another chance (besides Skye, but only because of the treasure, and Kaylee, since they were never on bad terms but the watchers dont see their friendship ever since Kaylee was away or with Noah). I love Ben and Danielle's dynamic, the uptight and savage preppy girl with the sweet outdoorsy fix-it. Opposites attract. Even their dynamic in season 1 was so entertaining and fun, like their banter on the way to the campout(?) was actually really good and they had good chemistry playing off each other. And every scene of theirs was so cute and interesting, especially their scenes in the cave and the scene where he wakes up and looks at her for a little bit, and there's a very very subtle smile in his lips. It's so simple and quick but so cute. I know obviously they're not going to have season 3, but their last scene of Ben and Danielle showed a foreshadowing that Skye was probably going to wedge herself in the way, which sucks because homegirl should not pick his best friend over him and then run back to him and date him a second time. Ben does not deserve to be someone's second option, and skye should focus on the Lodge and her cousin, not run to someone else the second she's single. Danielle deserves Ben and vice versa. They were there for each other when no one else was.

Ship it. I don’t want Sky to break them apart. I hope they are endgame
