Renee Wallace This is a very good question and thank you for being so respectful about it! Feng shui is by no means a religion, not even close to it, you can compare it to acupuncture (in fact, feng shui was called "the acupuncture of space"). It is about working with energy to make it better/fresher/more vibrant, thus improve the quality of life for people living or working in the space. I have clients from various religious backgrounds that successfully applied feng shui in their home, so I can assure you there is no conflict! As long as, of course, you choose cures that speak to you, rather than traditional Chinese feng shui cures (meaning do not go for Chinese culturally specific images that have very little to do with your own upbringing and spiritual beliefs). Rodika Tchi May i add my feeling and personal insight about it? It all works like a vodoo doll, in my experience. Simple as that. What you put into your home, follows your life. Want to improve your abilities and have a sharp mind? Keep as much clear as possible the knowledge area and use the nourishing element, for example. Your mood is low on scores? Let the sunlight hit the illumination area for most of the day and always best is to avoid sad, gloomy (dark themes), and dead objects (things like workshop tools, and any nondecorative element), and clutter in general. The illumination area represents your inner self, so heavy objects may drag your energy down (i moved the library and now i feel definitely better). My worst mistake was, i happened to keep the souls reaper bust there (for fun), the worst mistake ever, i was letting the world know me as dead and asking the chi to kill me (i know for a fact, as soon as i got rid of it my ill health problems faded away, and that was a big challenge). Other examples: if you relationship area looks cluttered, dirty and bad decorated, chances are your life relationships will be scant and you will stuggle for love in your life. Personally, always works for me. I hope my insight helps.

Ka Kot If the garage is attached to the house, then it is usually considered part of the home bagua. However, if it has no direct entry to the house (if this is what you mean) then you might go without including it in your home bagua. It depends on many factors, so this is a very general answer.
