The horse and rider are from the famed photograph series by Eadwaerd Muybridge that was the first to capture motion and were the basis of motion pictures.
Olivia Petrowski I mean, he would've said it sounded like Mozart. I just don't want false information on RU-vid videos, because people might download it, and then it says; " The Lone Ranger Theme Song by Mozart"
I'm almost 44, lost the count of how many times I heard this music and still I figure myself and my brothers grenadiers feel the ground shaking and trembling awaiting the enemy cavalry
'My definition of an intellectual is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture without thinking of the Lone Ranger.' - Billy Connolly guess I am not an intellect then.
+Sheila Amalia I knew the William Tell Overture, but didn't know about Lone Ranger till now. Don't know about being intellectual though. Maybe I stopped that this very moment. Next challenge: Listen to Wagner, Ride Of The Valkyries without thinking Apocalypse now.
+Skyldyel Hmmm, when I hear the William Tell Overture I think of horse races (not sure why) and when I hear Ride of the Valkyries I think of a military that is much stronger than their enemy going to battle said enemy.
@@6infinity8 Two things: first, you actually can, "ignorance" is defined as simply Lacking Knowledge, you can always learn more, so there actually is a fix for ignorance... Which is striving to teach people or learn new information. Secondly... Why are you responding to me five years later? This conversation is long since dead.
@@trainknut Because RU-vid doesn't archive old comments & close threads. I've replied to people who posted more like TEN years before, if I have something worth saying, and received a reply. If you don't want to continue the conversation (or thread) don't reply back. Simple. Sometimes the comments are for those who will come after us! Have you not read a book written 100 years ago, done a report on it, and had someone review your report years later? It happens.
Half-assed fucks like this excuse of an uploader don't give a fuck. "Mozart" is probably the only name he remembers from a list of classical composers, so he just went for it. The sad thing is that many people think that they are being educated by RU-vid and memorize misinformation like this...
I just listened to The Tokoyo Philharmonic Orchestra and that Conductor had the Orchestra RACING Through THe William Tell Overture Finale but it was BEAUTIFULLY Done by them 😃

*"here"* Wow, you're exactly the sort of don't-care dumbfuck whom this half-assed piece-of-shit uploader is targeting with his "Mozart" caption at the beginning. Bravo **slow clap**
It's NOT by MOZART. It's by GIOACHINO ROSINNI 1829 The Horse in this 1880 film clip was named ANNIE. The name of the Jockey is unknown and unknowable, despite being named in the film NOPE. In any case the rider is IMMORTALIZED.
Yes thank you had the damn tune stuck in my head for weeks couldn't remember what it was i was looking up cowboy song for some reason my mind went to wild west
Used to watch the lone ranger in the 1950's and early 60's, didn't know what the theme tune was but liked it, now I know its PATT of The William Tell Overture by Rossini
Q: Where does the Lone Ranger take his trash? A (sung to the tune of "The Lone Ranger" theme): To the dump, to the dump, to the dump, dump, dump... I remember being part of a children's choir when I was a kid (the group was for kids ages 9 to 14, so as you can imagine, the boys were out once their voices started changing), and when I was thirteen, my mom tried to tell that joke at a party my children's choir was having, and I wouldn't let her.
I don't live in the best area, as a struggling Army Veteran, so, for security, other than my Grey Husky Terrier (that is Greyhound, Siberian Whiskey, & American Staffordshire- Bull Terrier), I crank up my ol' 12 inch analogues and hold American Idol comcerts in my house- starring me. *Note: I only do this ONCE in a while, just as a warning & a reminder of what anyone breaking in will be dealing with.*. 😇
+flashy5150 OMG yeah. This is my #1 favorite music. You get this feel of action, and doing incredible things that no man has ever done before! This is my all time favorite piece!
Are you trolling us with the title? I mean, it isn't like Mozart was the only composer ever. This was a song long before there was a Lone Ranger story. This is the "William Tell Overture" by Rossini.
Yes Rossini, But no credit to the Muybridge 'Moving pictures", that proved a galloping horse never had it's legs splayed out , two in front and two in back, as all the old 'western' , and european horse back paintings showed . But I came here trying to find the 45 rpm record from around 1957 that was the spin -off from the "Lone Ranger" TV show. which had 'the Happy Girl Polka" on its flip side . Where did that end up? Remember the trumpets, & muting, whiney at the end, as the piece faded to black?

All I gotta do to make people's days is to take off the head of a stuffed animal, put it on a broom, and start running down the hall with this music playing
