The Long Chase - Episode Two 

Not only is it an absolute treat to be rewatching these episodes after all these years, its the first time I've watched them in colour as my parents didn't buy a colour TV until around 1977.

I think that they re-ran this series in 1974 or 75 and then it vanished, seemingly forever. I have looked for it on RU-vid over recent years and could only ever find the theme tune until tonight. Like many of the other people commenting here I was delighted to touch base with something that I enjoyed on black and white telly back in the day when I was a young teenager. I seem to remember an acidic comment by a critic at the time that the programme was like an advert for the tourist board because of the location shooting but Devon looks chilly (although nicely atmospheric). The dark colours remind me of the Kodak Instamatic shots from that era that turned very orange and brown over the years. Thanks very much for posting these!

Just love the Dudley Simpson soundtrack. Putting aside his S8 DW wonderful synth phase, i can hear elements of all his more orchestral material including Seeds of Death, Spearhead from Space, S10 DW and Blake's 7. Fantastic!

Great to see Ep2 uploaded. And it's a good transfer too. I had mis-remembered Dudley Simpson's theme tune as the theme to Midnight Cowboy - it's that harmonica style.

Finding it difficult to sympathise with John. He’s too immature and whiny. Susan is just a little *rick teaser, “I’m not stupid John Corbin”😊 But she does look lovely. I wish she had kept her long hair and bangs.

😬😬🫣 Who else thinks the girl was there on purpose? She’s on a mission. They dumped her down the cliff at the shore to draw the young man’s attention and perhaps learn one thing or two. Or, to protect him?? I take it this location must me Devon. The stunning county. 🤗 The towns there especially the coastal are plain pretty. Lucky people living out there. Green coastlines and pretty cool nights. Who are you Susan? Your appearance in such a wrong time at a wrong place is fishy.🤔
