That's what I was thinking as well, I only watch one other channel for TLD and he's got a calm voice as well.

I think it's because the kind of people that like the long dark are very chilled out and relaxed. It's a slow paced game and is almost asmr in a way, just a very relaxing vibe in general.

So maybe we need a TLD play through with someone who has the voice of Macho-man Randy savage.

An endless night challenge could be pretty cool! I like having that day cycle for the interest of keeping things interesting. If it's always night, it won't be great for video quality. Cool idea tho!

Had a quick test with wolf fear set to "none". Wolf was afraid of fires and torches. Drop torch and aim trick also worked. Walking at a wolf with torch scared them. So this setting does not seem to change wolf interactions with fire at all, may be it's a chance to scare wolf with stones alone. As I understand from discussions a lot of custom settings dont work as you want them to, or does not work at all. So Mike was unnecessary cautions this playthrough, I will consider this as additional self imposed Deadman challenge.

You realize you can skip ahead in RU-vid videos, correct? Going over the rules, restrictions, and settings beforehand is important to challenge runs. If you're so easily bored, these slower-paced, more cautious challenges aren't for you anyway. Thanks for your comment contribution to the algorithm gods, don't let the door hit you on the way out. And for Mike-appreciate the settings overview man! It really helps in making clear just how difficult of a challenge we're in for, esp. for people who aren't as familiar with TLD. The 90% rest of the video was excellent too, who knew there could be so much interesting gameplay after the first 10 minutes? :)

ps i did deadman for 80 days still had 84% health with 4 stems on me but did not like the game play took the fun out of it for me like not taking chances were i go out in the open and hunt bear and moose i like the risk of it of getting damage

Yeah I knew the safe was there, just didn’t seem worth it since we gotta keep moving. Safes in higher difficulties tend to have a pretty high bust potential (meaning poor loot).

@@SurvivorMike You get ear wraps in the safes in interloper though. There should be at least 2 ear wraps in the entire world only in safes, can get more elsewhere too
