The gear I use to make my content (although this is always changing!)
Sony A7iv + 20mm 1.8G - My main RU-vid camera for shooting out on location.
Canon EOS R8 + 16mm F2.8 + Zhuyin Crane M3 - I use this for a combination of stills and video B-roll
DJI Pocket 3 - Used for videos where I cover a lot of ground
Sony A7iii - this is my primary stills camera that works with native Sony lenses and all my Canon EF lenses on the Sigma MC-11 adaptor
Canon 5D3 - I use this camera when I use my EF glass and there is no benefit in adapting
DJI Mavic Pro 2 - My first drone, and I can’t see me replacing it. It’s amazing for both stills and video
Go Pro Hero 8 - for adverse weather conditions that my other cameras might not survive!
Insta360 - X3 & One inch edition - for 360 degree video and BTS content
Microphones - DJI Wireless Mic, Rode Wireless Go, Rode Lav Go, Rode Video Pro+, Rode Video Micro
Photo Tripods - Sirui ST-124 with Sirui ballhead, Peak Design travel tripod
Video Tripods - Benro + spikes, Switchpod, K&F travel tripod + Gorillapod
Monopod - Sirui P-325FL
Camera bags - Manfrotto, Lowepro, Peak Design, K&F and Crumpler
Photo Filters - Nisi V7 + Nisi filters, H&Y magnetic filter system
Video filters - Freewell magnetic NDs, H&Y Revoring, Hoya Variable ND
All of my cameras have Arca Swiss plates to connect with the Peak Design Capture Clip and compatible tripods.
Video editing software - Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro
Video editing on the iPad Pro - LumaFusion
Photo editing - Adobe Lightroom, photoshop, Artisan Pro X, Silver Efex, Color Efex

Thank you! Very kind of you to say so. It is the video of locations like this which really show everyone the effort that goes into capturing some photos.

Your videos have become my location manual and I refer to them often for the location, parking, time to visit. I learnt so much about the Southern part of the UK just from your videos Ben. You share so much info. Thank you!!

Thank you John, that's exactly what I make these videos for. To help out other photographers. I hope that others make similar helpful videos for places that I visit, and everybody wins!

Sorry you weren't in my video more, we were so distracted by the sunrise and drone shots that I forgot to include you. Everyone go and watch Louise's video for more behind the scenes! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A_Tk267V5Iw.htmlsi=HX1RvBFiCr5bwiqU

I was wondering how the 40-year old back and legs compared to 4 years ago ;-) Great video, enjoyed it a lot. So many great images.

Haha, I needed a spa day after the first attempt! The truth is the shortest route back up to where I parked my car in the video is the worst climb. The 2nd and 3rd time I went there was a longer walk but far more manageable. I think they need an escalator!

That is far too much of an adventure for me & my knees Ben, but it was very much worth your considerable efforts to put this video together & share some wonderful shots. Thanks, Ben for an entertaining 14 minutes!

Thank you Trevor, much appreciated. It is well documented, but there are actually many different compositions and elements that you can include within the frame to make unique images.

When you mentioned at first a mile walk, I thought in total that wasn't too bad then when you said the mile was along the beach, Im then thinking, that's dedication to the craft. Really liked the close up images, they really emphasised the key parts of the lighthouse and liked the LE images too you captured. Hope you got back ok before it got too dark

Cheers Jim, as you say a walk along a beach could be quite nice, but it is over slipper rocks for most of it! The lighthouse is one of those optical illusions, you keep walking and walking and it doesn't seem to get any closer! I took a head torch with me, which I may not have made it back without!!!

@@benharveyphotography I enjoy that experience at Cuckmere when parking at the old barn carpark. I love being on the beach at sunset when most people have headed for home. It's just so peaceful and open.

Hi Ben, I really appreciate your hard work in the creation of these amazing videos with stunning shots! What would really interest me are the lenses you use for your shots. I know you have your gear in the description but I've seen some other people put their settings and lens descriptions in some corner whilst showing a photo. Anyways: Great work and thank you so much for sharing!

Hello, thanks for the kinds works and leaving a comment. I did use to put the settings on each of my photos, but it takes so long and I didn't know if anyone was benefitting from it. Since I visited this location three times I actually used a 100-400, a 28-200, a 24-105, a 16mm to film on a gimbal, a drone....quite a few different set ups!
