I'm calling it; Bull of Heaven's next album will have the capability to rip apart time and space as we know it, leading to every human being ever to exist to be forced to listen to what's essentially a goddamn _rotary engine idle_ until Judgement Day itself.
I feel like we need more artists like Bull of Heaven, that essentially just blend their music with shit-posting. And try to just destroy the comprehension of the listener when hearing what they would make a genuine album just because they thought the concept was funny.
Yea for example Final. He has been doing this stuff since 2016, with projects Afar, Obvillion 1&2, ENATKWBY and much more, it sounds like a microvawe going on for 2 hours...
Mad respect for showing Bull of Heaven's 005: A Lovely Pear in the video too. It's so easy to dismiss them as "long meme music haha", when in fact they've got a lot of great music under their belt, such as the aforementioned 005. Yes, they are the long meme music guys, but they're also much more than that. RIP Clayton. You've earned yourself a sub!
The longest album i've heard is over 38 hours long, most tracks are 27 minutes but some can be over 50 minutes long, it's taken me nearly a year and as of writing this i'm on track 74 of 90
I wish you reviewed a couple more albums on the shorter end. Like, a 4 hour album and a 5 hour album. It would've been interesting to have a broader transition from the not-super-long albums to the ridiculously long albums.
I would also mention between "Daughter of Darkness" and "Merzbient", Diabarha's album "Confession Of Lazarus" (funnily enough it came out exactly when this video was uploaded) which is over 9 hours of pure speedcore bliss, speedcore of course is hardcore techno played at over 250 bpm. Not for everyone of course but I think it's an incredible album with a lot of say so I'd say if you like the harsher side of EDM definitely check that out
@@switch1e Yes it is. All original new tracks, no remixes/remasters/re-releases most of the tracks being between like 8 - 15 minutes in length and one of the tracks called "Mariana Trench" is 3 hours long. Good stuff
I could've sworn you sounded familiar, and then I checked the channel it was uploaded by and that's when I remembered, that you're the guy who's been uploading all those Total Drama videos as of recent, lmao
The first two releases mentioned I listened to in full many times, and they are very good! Everything else however is too much of a gimmick for me to take seriously (personally, don't take this as an offence). Oh yeah also The Flaming Lips made a 6 hour long song and I listened to it, but not the 24 hour skull that one is just crazy
My favorite is Sebadoh - The freed weed although it’s technically the freed man and weed forestin put together with some tracks cut out. My second favorite is the bevis frond - North circular. Check them out…
That is also the offical CD release the Weed Forestin, Also Lou Barlow's other band Dinosaur jr has a longer album that being the full version of Farm.
I don't know many long albums besides the ones you mentioned, but the longest song i know (might as well be an album) is the rise and fall of bossanova by Pipe Choir III, one of the many projects by Michael Bostwick. Apparently he has even made his own genre of music called "oinstwave" (i have no idea how to describe it)
I feel like Autechre's NTS Sessions 1-4 deserve a mention. It's exactly 8 hours long divided into four 2-hour albums that have huge dynamic and sound design range, from more ambient tracks, to harsher tracks, to almost dance-able bangers. The album doesn't let you go with constant changes and a plethora of different ideas throughtout the albums (I guess the point I'm trying to make across is that it's not 8 hours of gimmicky music)
Glad you mentioned my boy Merzbow (pronounced Maerts-bow) The longest album I knew of prior to this was was Sabazius' Descent of Man clocking in at almost 12 hours.
How is it even possible for humans to make a piece of music longer than the expected lifespan of the universe? There has to be some looping and playback involved. I have similar questions about Longplayer, which still doesn't make sense to me no matter how many times I have it explained.
I've listened to pulse demon and used to think of it as shitpost, but he's made some great songs. Also 7skies h3 I've tried listening to like 3 times and can't get past the 2 hour point because it gets too vivid for me.
Please do your research on 5 Cents A Song. It is the longest collection of previously unreleased songs (300). It is the longest debut album of all time. There are 42 bonus tracks and lyrics and chords to all 300 songs.
The funny thing is that Everywhere at the End of Time is not the Caretaker's longest release. In 2006, he released an album called "The Death of Rave" under the name of V/VM and the album is 200 tracks and is roughly 19 and a Half Hours long.
death of rave was created in tandem with v/vm 365 (a project where kirby made a track every single day for the entirety of 2006). the project alone is about 32 hours.
the longest album as of 2024 is actually F - Копия - Копия - Копия - Копия - Копия by Alex U Ischenkau, it's 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years
Yeah, I was pretty sure Bull of Heaven will be the last one, can't just imagine someone else to come out with an album that is several bazillion years long (even longer than this universe - 13,700,000,000 years - 1.37 x 10^10 ?) Good God! How do you even listen to that? Or also, how did they manage to produce that album that lasts longer than the universe?
tbh I’m suprised you didn’t put something like 118 or 210 (literally in the thumbnail lmfao) inbetween the second to last and last one to bridge the gap between ‘a week’ and *’SEVERAL TRILLIONS OF TRILLIONS OF TIMES THE AGE OF THE UNIVERSE’*
You forgot NTS Sessions 1-4 by Autechre, it is perfectly 8 hours long. And by perfect i eman it by the second, it is divided into 4 albums that are also exactly 2 hours.
I don't know about the long ones, but this is definitely the shortest album I know: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ijM2A2Zwb9M.htmlsi=GwprcQpvEnwBv7kq
@@stolenmemesfromdiscord I’m glad! Frankly, I want to keep making non total drama stuff. I don’t want to paint myself into that corner. And I have fans like you to who help make that possible! :)
Damn I feel sorry for people who actually believe that it is possible to fit a whole decade in a song to upload on a site or even believe you can make a song long quintillions of years. These people probably also believe in creepypastas😔🙏. Bull of Heaven were just two unfunny trollers, nothing more artistic then that.
@@switch1e Personally no. I just detest artists like Jackson Pollock who don't actually make anything meaningful or creative and are called talented just because of how different they are. I was actually interested in Bull of Heaven's music due to it's surreal but simple aesthetic only to find out that they play the same tunes over and over and over again. It's not artistic nor creative. Even I could do it. If Clayton farted on a mic I would have found that more artistically pleasing.
@@switch1e People who actually believe that Bull of Heaven made a year long album probably also believe in the tooth fairy. Stop lying and being cringe.
@@switch1e yeah it's incredible, it feels too draining to listen in one go but one/two songs at a time are the perfect lenght for me, its super meditative
