And you look so good to me my baby; I can tell by the look in your eyes... Frankie Beverly & Maze. The Look In Your Eyes. From the 1981 LP "Live in New Orleans."
I regret being young(21yrs old) & shy and not taking the opportunity to go back stage and meet Frankie Beverly in Norfolk,Va. Truly should have received many Grammy’s! ⭐️
Back in the 80's this is what i told my wife when we were dating. We got married that year and never looked back. It has been an awesome journey in our marriage and needless to say we love this song and Frankie Beverly & Maze
1983, driving back from a business conference. Driver (can't recall his name) says "listen to this once, you'll never look back". Damn right, bought the live album next day. Soul in every sense of the word.
I can only say its always a pleasure to hear and admire this kind of soul fulfilled type of music that many will never understand and miss in life; but thank you God for allowing me to experience and appreciate it all.👍
its what you feel in your heart when you meet some one, thats when you know you are in love, it dont matter what color she or he is or where they are from,ok
I just still do not understand Frankie using his name as a featuring him. For me, he was Maze’s front man. I have read up on this but am still no wiser. This band, the S.O.S band and Roy Ayers, gave me the edge when I was younger and dating and I even had that confirmed when one young lady said my choice of music swayed her to give me more chances. Thank you Maze, Luther, Frankie and Roy. You made me get more chances, to impress those I really liked and , in fact, ended up in long term relationships with. I cannot thank you enough as, although I was really quite a looker and always dressed well, I was full of insecurities. Music can truly heal and bring out emotion strong enough to part an ocean Simply wonderful & thanks again, from a very grateful man
Man Does Maze Rock When They Play Live, You Can't Even Tell This Is A Live Version, Sounds So Much Like An Album Version Until You Hear The Announcements And Applause From The Audience! We Love You Too Maze!
@@donaldalexander1445 Yeah, the *LIVE* version is 10x better than the original!!! The band is playing every instrument so beautifully and Frankie's smooth vocals... MERCY!!!
Darlene Merritt ain’t that the truth. Too many manufactured bands and kids with stars in their eyes but not putting in the hard yards. I find it really quite sad. I agree with you, completely.
MUSIC OF MEANING WORDS OF TRUTH SOUNDS LIKE THE 1ST TIME PLAYED NEVER OUT DATED MOVE TO IT LIKE A VIBRATION OF LOVE LEGEND OF ALL TIME MAZE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
Oh wow I remember this Concert we lived up in the country about 1:30 min. Away. Baywood Clinton Zachary La.to be exact .I was too young to go to the Dome in New Orleans. But my brother s went. Once the live album was released every Sunday until this day Frankie was being by somebody . If they ain't I'm playing it out in the Bay where I live now. As we in yo neck of the woods. It's that sultry sound. That cant be duplicated.
Heard them play this live in-concert right after the live lp dropped. This song sounds so much better live. What a great concert that was. They ended the night with this gem. Had EVERYBODY IN THE CIVIC CENTER UP, DANCING, and SINGING to this one. LOL. Thanks for posting!!!!
1980 fresh on the scene in California.I had left snowy Saginaw MI. And got stationed at Travis AFB.Ipurchased a burgandy 1976 grand prix with smoke glass T-tops,chrome spokes and 3" gangster white walls.I had a eight track tape of Maze singing this song.I'm 58 and still enjoy it!
Rest in eternal peace, my truest love, my twin soul "Mark" (4/26/73 - 7/1/03)... The one song that takes me back to the last time we were together by the water and I saw that "look in your eyes", you were in love with me and I was in love with you but what fools we were! This song brings it all back to me... "I can tell by the look in your eyes, that you're falling in love with me..."
Thanks For The Upload Danny! Just Heard This Song On Magic 102.3 For The First Time And I Had To Stop Doing The Dishes And Just Stand Close To The Radio And Listen... I Just Want To Say One Person Came To Mind When I Heard This Song And That Is My Soulmate Mark (4/26/73-07/01/03). May He Rest In Perfect Peace Until We Meet And Love Again...
@tonitunesin. For the record (pun intended) I love, love, love this song and it is one of a handful of timeless tunes that I've listened to (with deep attention at every play) consistently throughout the years. Thank you and others who have commented on this song sharing how much it means to them too.
This was a favorite! I Got Married to My Queen in 1981 We were so deeply grooved by this beautiful Love song! Still Married to my queen, we both are still very much in Love with each other as well as in Love with Mr. Frankie Beverly and Maze!!
Thanks for posting Danny. I first saw FB&M in the early 80's in Hilton Head SC and was immediately hooked. I've since seen them well over 25 times and Frankie just seems to be getting smoother as he gets older. Old School is still Cool. I always enjoy turning on the younger generation to their sound and this LP remains in my 'ultimate crib music' file. Studio cut is great but this version just jams with serious feel good. This one is in my all time top 25 albums which speaks volumes. See you around the Tube my brother. Later!
New Orleans anthem song live at the saenger theatre / family day in the park / wyld radio station in New Orleans la / Congo square/ lakefront/ that's when the city was at its best / pontchatrain beach baby
Yeah you right!! All of my old stomping grounds, too! And, MAZE...THEY'RE LIKE FAMILY! Great memories forever, no matter where I'm at...I do know what it means to miss New Orleans!!😍😊🕊💛🌻
I had the privilege ofseeing these soul ' LEGENDS ' back in 82 @ Hammersmith , that part makes me feel old :’( BUT playing these tunes rejuvenates me :-) the fact that loved ones, who weren't even around then love them to says it all
