Hi. Unfortunately I'm not an art teacher. I'm also not an expert on the loomis method, or video making. Tbh, I'm just jumping on a bandwagon like hundreds of other Artists making loomis method videos. However, I did Try to explain the process visually. I think if you look at the structure of the outlines on the ref picture, it should give you some idea. The loomis method can never give you acurate results, as no face is alike. It's just a method, that will get you somewhere in the ballpark. As with all portrait drawing and sketching, practice is paramount and never really ends. I hope this answers your question. As for what I look for... Shapes and angles initially. If you use a light grade pencil, then keep refining those shapes until you're happy with the accuracy. Cheers
