The LoonaVerse! Reaction to The Avengers of Kpop: A Story of LOONA 

LOONA and dreamcatcher are like "sisters"... both groups are pretty unique... and their fandom is not big in Korea.... but both groups are pretty different from each other!!

Odd eye by Dream catcher was 1 year ago but looks concept of Odd Eye was almost 4 years old 💀 so yeah *SHOUTOUT TO LOONA FOR ODD EYE*

You keep mentioning DC references throughout this but im pretty sure LOONAs butterfly and Odd eye circle came a few years earlier

I can understand your skepticism about the Butterfly choreo being "the best in kpop". Dreamcatcher is my all time #1 top group. Their choreographies are very impressive and the girls perform them perfectly (most of the time 😋). I appreciate and respect you for trying to defend them here. but... And I say this as a devoted Insomnia, Butterfly is just next level. DC has some amazing choreographies and they are all very skilled and talented dances. On the other hand, as the video said, as a group Loona is phenomenal and the choreo for Butterfly is a piece of art. To clarify the "She trained for just one day" thing. That statement is a bit misleading. In essence, it's a true statement. She auditioned for Blockberry, was excepted as a trainee and the next day she officially become the 12th member of Loona and started her debut process. So, yeah, she trained at Blockberry for just one day. However, prior to her audition she had spent most of her life training elsewhere. She started dance lessons before she was 10 years old and later moved up to real dance training at one of the better known dance academies in Korea. She also attended a well known and respected 'Idol academy' where she learned other skills needed to be an idol. Whenever you hear a statement about a kpop idol training for a stupidly short amount of time, people are probably referring to the training they received while being an official trainee at one of the kpop labels. It ususally doesn't include the training they received prior to being signed on as a trainee.

dreamcatcher is one of my 3 ult's, and obviusly they have one of the best girl groups choreographys (with pixy, itzy, loona and gfriend), but without a doubt loona "butterfly" choreography is the best i ever see in a girl group. When you react to butterfly's MV please do it along with a dance practice or live performance.

about the arms trade, ilkwang only sells equipment to south korea, because there's an actual threat to their safety(nokor) it's not like they're invading other countries to steal their oil. lol

As others have mentioned, dreamcatcher and Loona have a huge overlap in fandoms because both have such unique and high quality music, interesting lore, loveable members and just something special that’s hard to find in other groups. Also, as dreamcatcher has amazing b-sides, loona b-sides are absolutely incredible as well. I would say DC and Loona both have the most complete and diverse discographies in kpop. I know the guy on the right is DC biased (sorry don’t know your name) but it doesn’t have to be a competition of who’s better or who came up with what first lol they’re both amazing groups that fill a different niche in kpop. Stan DC and Loona!

Just a simple suggestion for you who likes Dreamcatcher, check the dates the songs and videos were released; maybe you will find who looks like who, LOONA to Dreamcatcher or vice versa.

there's definitely some misinformation about loona's company and parent company(this vid is very much outdated atp lol). yes ilkwang group is a big company that deal's with arms deal but with the recent issues that went about on the company's ceo. blockberry has been kinda on their own when it comes to finances. or at least, they mostly rely on polaris as it is they're parent entertainment company. block berry is just a small subsidiary company. however because of loona's recent success, they're doing pretty well now. moved to a better building and the members each have their own vocal rooms. i am both an orbit and an insomnia so i definitely see dc and loona as "sister" groups since they're ggs from small companies who arent that well-known in their country but have so much fans internationally and that they're well-known for their "risky" or "out-of-the-box" concepts like with dc mixing rock with various genres and having mostly dark concepts, and loona experimenting with various genres as well to fit the next chapter of their lore/story-telling. i'd advice you guys to find a different guide to watch if you're more interested on the members themselves and not just an overview of their brand like how this video was made.

LOL this guy on the right was so over it! i know you think they're copying DC, but in fact Loona did a lot of these concepts first. DC and Loona are very similar indeed tho! odd eye did come out way later than oec in loona, but they're like sister groups! ViVi and Handong hang out!

Thanks for the reaction, i hope you enjoy the rest of the music videos if you are planning to continue. Just a couple of notes. Olivia Hye only trained for 1 day at Blockberry Creative but I believe she attended training schools prior to signing at BBC. This video is actually kinda outdated. From what i heard from other orbits, Ilkwang Group which is the arms dealer company mentioned in the video, is no longer financially supporting BBC. Also, this video was released in 2019, LOONA has already 3 albums since then, all of which have dark themed girl crush concept title track which you might like, the latest one being PTT which you already reacted to. Also with these title tracks, they have continued the lore but you should ask a different person when it comes to the lore since I'm shit at theory crafting. But what I want to point out when it comes to the lore is that while they are being told via the music videos, the details are kinda vague and requires attention to detail and time to analyze / break down in order to understand. Heck, if you make a person react to the music videos without them knowing that there's a lore, they might finish watching all the music videos without realizing that there's a lore. But as mentioned in the video, it does not require you to fully understand the lore in order to enjoy LOONA. But if are into theory crafty, there's a lot of videos and / or communities dedicated to that. Now Choreography, I haven't watched a lot of Dreamcatcher choreography but from what i have seen, DC's choreography is always intense and full of difficult moves. What differentiates them from LOONA is that LOONA's choreography is very heavy on formation changes, synchronization and imagery. Basically like from what you have observed, there are a lot of members and they are taking advantage of this with their choreography. For the 'Odd eye' similarity between LOONA and DC, i read someone mention before that 'odd eye' has a certain cultural relevance but I'm not sure since I'm not korean. Though I've seen other artists aside from LOONA and DC use this term before in their songs. Edit: LOONA is participating in Queendom 2, hope you check out their performances and support them.

I think you have already noticed that this video is a bit old now and loona did get a lot of popularity after their first win, but they are still growing and they will become even more popular! If you liked this one I highly recommend checking out "The inconstant moon - a history of loona" a re-upload by Mera. Where this video shows the main concept of loona and how it was created, the inconstant moon goes more towards loona's history and backstory, their hardships and their rise. Probably a must watch for people getting into loona and I can guarantee you, that video is the reason why more than 70% of us are orbits, including me

The thing about Olivia having the shortest training period is kinda true, but it doesn't mean she had a grand total of 1 day of training. It just means she was a trainee with BBC for a day before she debuted. She had to have had some training in dance and vocals before debut. And she likely was associated with BBC for some time before signing on as an official trainee before her debut. She had to learn and record her debut song, learn the choreography, and get fitted for the outfits she wore in the MV. She couldn't have done all of that in a single day. So, yes, she had the shortest training period, *technically,* but not really.
