The Psalm of David Chapter 18:2 " The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer..." The metaphors used in the verse can be applied to the believer's struggles against the physical and spiritual forces of this age. Hence, presenting God's love and care for us in six ways; 1. "My rock "-- Safety and security in God's immovable strength, 2. "my fortress"--- a place of refuge and safety where the enemy cannot penetrate; 3. " my deliverer"--- a living protector, 4. "My buckler"--- a buckler is a type of shield 🛡️ symbolizing that God comes between us and harm., 5. "horn of salvation" ---The strength and victorious power to deliver and save us; 6. " my high tower" 🗼 ---a high place among the rocks, safe from plunder and destruction.
