The Javanese eagle has the Latin name nisaetus bartelsi which is a medium-sized eagle species from the Accipitridae family and the nisaetus genus. The Javan eagle has a fairly large body with a body length between 60-70cm and has a wingspan of 110-130cm. The head is brown with a prominent high crest and a yellowish-brown nape. While the back and wings are dark brown. The beak is black and has yellow irises.
