28:48 Ancient Tomb is almost certainly NOT a trigger. The 2 damage is part of the mana ability,. City of Brass damage is a trigger, the ole "Rishadan Port your City of Brass deal you 1 damage in your upkeep" is a classic.
At around 51:00 Steven, the second Nazgul should cause 2 +1/+1 counters to be placed on all of your Wraiths. One for the first Nazgul and one for the second Nazgul. They're cumulative when multiple are in play.
Longtime fan here. Thoughts on updating the point system? Maybe a few more ways to get them and or lose them? Love watching every week regardless. Y’all are awesome 🤙
Double check the 2nd Tempt of the ring ability says to "draw and discard a card *on attack*", not after damage. I think this was being played after damage a few different turns. Steven may have missed drawing even though Jeremy used Tefferi's Protection before damage, attack abilities still trigger and go on the stack I'm pretty sure 😅
I remember when there were theme weeks outside of the Ranamonium and the Fan Requests. Now it seems that we can't go a season without two set releases, so we have to have a bunch of weeks in a season focused on those sets.
Fun Fact: Myr is pronounced Mire according to WOTC's Japanese printings of myrs, so Corey wasn't mispronouncing their names. It's the joke to Myr Sire's name.
if you are playing in Japan, feel free to say Mire. it's wrong in English. mark rosewater explicitly says that it's prounounced "meer" (rhymes with deer), which only makes sense, because it's short for Mirrodin. whatever the Japanese printing wants to go with, that's much less reliable than mark rosewater's official blog.
@@jeffe2267 Rosewater and anyone else can say it however they wish, it's WOTC who decided it's pronounced Mire. Saying the official WOTC-mandated printing of the actual cards is less reliable than a personal blog is as silly as it sounds when I type it out.
@@KingNaesala lol do you order a croissant in a french accent? get out of here. the japanese printing is that way bc japanese people have different phonetics, not because it's canon. you don't understand linguistics.
@@jeffe2267 The Japanese use katakana to replicate the pronunciation of non-Japanese words dummy. If Myr was pronounced mere it'd be written ミーア. Dimir is written as ディミーア. But all the JP Myr cards say マイア, mire. You should probably know at least a little Japanese before questioning people's understanding of it.
Did Steven ever remember his Phyrexian Arena? I don't know that I ever saw it trigger. EDIT: I saw him remember it the second time he cast dread presence. Still think that was the first time I saw it happen though. 😅
I think Jeremy should take a season off; his mood quickly drops in each game and becomes v defeatist. Maybe a season away to just play the game and enjoy it without the point rules and dealing with the same three players and their questionable game plays would do him some good.
Jeremy put himself in position to one shot any of the other players, forcing them to defend themselves. His only defense was the Teferi’s Protection. Jeremy typically plays one spell per turn. Is almost always defenseless and fails to politic at all or effectively. It sounds rude but Jeremy is just bad at Commander. He should have sat back, building his board state, protected himself until there was at least one player out. Then he could have made his move. Sigh.
The #1 complaint about LOTR… is all these nerds haven’t read the books, some not even seen the movies and how they butcher the pronunciation is like nails on a chalkboard.
What a wasted big game hunter. Shouldve just accepted the trade of the nazgul with treebeard, then jon realizes his mistake, heroic interventions and THEN you flash it out to kill it.
Hey, can we get "loses a point for not correctly reading a card"? Like, less than ten minutes in and a thing was missed, and it's a card that a deck was built around. It's officially at the point where it's just not fun watching you all because how often you don't read the cards. I understand making rules mistakes that aren't directly on the cards because magic is complicated, but really, please just read the cards.
Exactly! Like Jeremy casting Sun Titan the turn after he cast Single Combat or the sunforger grabbing a sorcery last video (steelshaper's gift). Misplays and mistakes are certainly a part of the game but this is their job.
I kind of agree you know. I’m normally not too mad about this stuff but yeah, it’s a little out of control. I remember watching the new Game Knights video the other day and being used to this I kept jumping the gun and going like “oop. Missed trigger there.” And without a fail they would circle back to it and resolve it, and I was literally like “oh, so this is how it should be, professionally.”
@@Punisher1818 Yes, I understand that I am not required to watch. I'm hoping that this feedback is helpful to these content creators since their livelihood depends on people watching.... Here's my point: Much like Magic is a complicated game with lots of rules, so is the English language. It truly does not bother me that you have a misspelling in your comment (plag) or that you used "there" instead of "their". Sincerely, I am not upset in the slightest. However, if you were my English professor - a professional, I would care greatly.
Very big fall from grace for this series. I just caught up after several weeks of binging, and I have to say, it certainly has lost it's soul. It no longer feels like friends playing commander, the rushed intros, the lack of deck techs with other players commenting and chatting, the lack of rambling before and after has taken away quite a bit from the feel. It feels like a produced show, trying hard to retain audience with gimmicks rather than enjoyment of the cast, not to mention the MASSIVE amount of rules errors. Commander Vs has always had rules errors every now and then, and even some that truly screwed over games, but DAMN these last seasons have been abysmal in that regard. I fully understand things change and circumstances are different, long gone are the days of Danny West, but the focus on this new format has sapped way too much joy for me to enjoy. Here's hoping they get rid of these annoying deck techs and cuts and slow down and breathe again, and just feel like friends playing Magic again.
