I really hope that Tevinter and the chance to be a Tevinter is a big part of the story in Dragon Age 4. For example, although brushed over, it is clear the Mages don't rule alone and also that even blood magic has some fairly strict rules governing its use in Tevinter as particular uses of it - from what we can see and the sources such as even the Chant of Light - alarm most Magisters as being reckless and selfish. Working your character up to a Magister, particularly if they are not capable of magic would be quite interesting.
Tevinter is very likely based loosely on the Roman Empire, with notable differences. Archon and Magister are both usually inherited positions. With the Archon being able to name Magisters at will. They (Archon) also have the final say on all laws under consideration. The Magisterium however holds the power to elect an Archon should there be no chosen heir, as long as the candidate is no Magister.
The wiki is an amazing source of condensed information, but I would advise that you cross-reference the sources linked in it if you want the most accurate information. The people that write there are still only human after all and mistakes happen.
Love the editing, imagery, wording. DA Absolution (which, I'm aware, wasn't a thing yet when this video wa made) helped add a new-ish Magister perspective somewhere between Danarius and Erimond, I feel.
Considering that the Inky rams a dagger into a map of the Imperium, my guess is that we go there. Not confirmed, but I'd be very surprised if they decided we suddenly have a sunny holiday in Rivain.
bule jackal I hope DA4 will be more the Witcher 3. A massive open world with all of the northern Thedas to explore, which is why if it does happen then we will have to wait for another five or so years for it. If they gonna make it as good as the last ones and NOT like Andormeda!
Fusselkorn wouldn't be cool if a war might've broken out between the Imperium and the Qun, or even other factions of Thedas? And then you would have to choose one side or the other.
There have actually been theories that the next DA will start in Seheron, and you'll come to the Imperium later on, which would be amazing to see the Qunari/Tevinter conflict up close, and especially see how bad Seheron really is, when even the Qun has a maximum service time for the island.
Fusselkorn I agree but I think it would be even more awesome if we could(our character) can actually take sides in the conflict and even fight battles for the chosen side. But Seheron would be a good place to start, but I think it would be good if that place could actually be a tutorial part of the game, and the actual story starts when you are out of the island. Tell me what you think though.
whats funny to me is how Tevinter seems based on the roman empire, but while the irl romans are usually looked at with awe and respect, everyone in dragon age hates them lol
