This video was AMAZING. At first, i thought it was some kid on his Ipad, but your delivery is so clean, and it kept me hooked. One tip is to have some chill background music at maybe 10% of its volume, just so it isnt dead quiet apart from your voice. I recommend undertale music, as it has no distracting lyrics, and is very simplistic. I think you could also work on showing more screen shots to make your visual side of the video more interesting and descriptive. This was impressive!
I wanted to leave some thoughts I had about the lore, as I'm really interested on what the story has to offer: - From what I've seen, the runners do seem to be some kind of large organized group or faction going against the government. As you can see on The Net's main page, the bottom says "If you hear someone say they are associated, support, or work on this website, RUN IMMEDIATELY", confirming we're some kind of rebel group. Since we can suspect the sites we access are illegal since they are associated with the runners. It's possible these sites and pages are also used for communication and management between runners. If this is the case, these sites have to be illegal. And assuming that the city has public servers and internet, it's blocked on those servers. So could it be possible that the only reason we can access the runners codex through a transceiver, (AKA, the CPD's servers), is because their servers are the only servers that allow access to the site. There's also the question that since we are some sort of group that rebels against the government that actively hunts us, what are we fighting for? Why are we rebelling? Just some thoughts I had while practicing in game. Would love to see your feedback.
Yeah, it’s clear that this lore is also based off mirrors edge lore In mirrors edge, you’re running from KrugerSec and fighting them, and reborn, you’ll probably be doing that to the CPD
I would think that in the future, Parkour Reborn will have an Story mode That is similar to Mirror's Edge where you get chased by Police while doing some task.
i asked chatgpt to generate me the lore of the game and thats what he send me: In the world of The Verna , the conflict between the Runners and the City Protection Department (CPD) is at the heart of the game's lore. Here's a brief overview: The Runners: The Runners are a group of skilled parkour practitioners who rebel against the oppressive regime of the CPD. They navigate the city's rooftops and alleys with agility and precision, using their athleticism to evade capture and deliver sensitive information to those in need. The Runners are a diverse group, united by their desire for freedom and justice in a city controlled by corruption and surveillance. Led by charismatic leaders and fueled by a sense of camaraderie, the Runners operate in the shadows, using their parkour skills to outmaneuver the CPD's patrols and surveillance systems. They believe in the power of information to expose the truth and challenge the status quo, and they risk life and limb to protect the citizens of Verna from the tyranny of the CPD. The City Protection Department (CPD): The CPD is the authoritarian regime that governs Verna with an iron fist. Tasked with maintaining order and quelling dissent, the CPD employs a combination of surveillance technology, armed enforcers, and propaganda to keep the city's inhabitants in line. Led by ruthless commanders and backed by powerful corporate interests, the CPD views the Runners as a dangerous threat to the stability of the city. The CPD's enforcers are well-trained and heavily armed, equipped with advanced weaponry and surveillance drones to track down and apprehend Runners. They patrol the city's streets and monitor its inhabitants, using fear and intimidation to maintain control. The CPD's reach extends into every corner of Verna, and they will stop at nothing to crush any resistance to their rule. As the conflict between the Runners and the CPD escalates, the fate of Verna hangs in the balance. The Runners fight for freedom and justice, while the CPD seeks to maintain its grip on power at any cost. In this city of towering skyscrapers and sprawling urban landscapes, the battle for the future of Verna rages on, with the Runners as its last hope for change.
Honestly I like the theory seems really fun to theorise I feel like there’s such little stuff to go off it’s kinda hard rn but cool that u got a nearly full made story rn
personally i think you are on point with how syncpoints / respawning works but i think i doesnt rewind you but the chip in your head sends a scan of your brain/body and it is then uploaded into a host body which then forms into you (basically the relic chip form cyberpunk XD)
new info we recently got with release of 1.12. It seems that asylum is a place for professional runners etc, on 1.12 hud accidentally leaked an npc who said something along the lines of "Hey, how do i know you're a noob? You dont got the smell of asylum on ya." and that NPC was supposed to sell gear to help traversal for noobs
great video :D back in an old video I had like this I said that possibly “a unknown planet and the parkour legacy planet collided together” making the reborn world. all this being said the person putting down the grappler parts could possibly be a person from the parkour world or the unknown world
Great video. I can tell you really used a lot of time to make it as best as possible. I think you have a big chance of becoming big one day. Keep up the good work
so... we know what kind of corporation wants to catch all the runners, and we also know that the runners are defending themselves from this company with weapons that we can see in dirvik. and what should I do with this information? decide for yourself.
6:08 omgomgomg, i was hoping so badly we might get a nod to legacy in some form in reborn. i was expecting like the default spawn or something but an entire district would be so cool. that might just be place holder but i REALLY hope it isnt
Hey man awesome video, I really liked the information you put in but I would enjoy for you to have a type of editing style showing more images rather than just background content... I would recommend a type of style like game theory. This would definitely get your more views but would take more time.
Here's my theory: i think the cpd is looking for the Asylum district, it's supposed to be a secret underground district so it would make sense. i think it's like the runners' hideout, there's a leak of a npc saying something like: "are you a noob? you don't have the smell of Asylum on you" also if you want much more info on all of the districts, search up rityerr's leaks of all districts except axiom, neon and vertex (kinda), it even shows how citra looks like, a clip of someone flying over the devplace and going into the asylum district etc
If you've played any of the mirror's edge games, then i feel like Asylum is probably going to be a greyland facility in a sense, where all the dissidents and captured runners are sent to in order serve a sentence, that is likely indefinite.
Yep, you are on to something about the CPD, since, idk if anyone found this out, but back in build 98 (the release build of 1.1) if you went to the control section, you would see an "attack" keybind bound to you're left click, it doesn't do anything as of yet, but I think that there will be some sort of CPD cops or defenders that we will have to fight against, as of the districts, downtown is the "normie" district that most people live in, Dirwik might be the "slum" of the city, citra mght be a vacation style centre, fragment being the first Capital of Verna, due to it being a "blast from the past". Asylum would be something around the lines of a dungeon or a maximum security prison, axium reminds me to a futuristic city, with the same high class as skyarc, mirror being something straight out of mirror's edge, as for the others, we'll just have to wait till they come out.
Why people say that fragment looks like legacy? Big buildings with big count of apartments is nothing more than a default building desing. Also great video!
Vertex is just a nickname for the district the tower most likely isn't going to be named vertex and the district is going to be named "residential" I have a map of exactly where all the districts are aswell.
Well seeing the existence of the CPD I hope that they’ll add hostile npcs belonging to the CPD which will give players something to run from OR fight. That way the upcoming combat system wont just be pvp exclusive but also for playeds who want to opt out of pvp.
I think that this theory is very good and makes sense with the context of the game. When I started Blox Theory I was mainly focusing on WHO the player is. (spoiler alert: they are fucking depressed.) Also do you mind if i connect our theories?
I lost the comment about the guy that said use unertale music but you should use sans' theme or the shop theme, they are kinda quiet and are good for videos like this
Theory: Asylum could refer to a mental asylum. Or it could refer to a sort of refugee camp. From what we know Asylum could be a city in which people who are hunted by the cgpd.
when i heard ur voice i thought u were just s random kid that doesnt know anything and just wants views but u might acually be on to something and made an great vid👏
