Glad to see that you've enjoyed playing the game as much as I have regardless of the sponsorship in the video. I see a lot of potential in this game and hope it improves further!!
Wayfinder should have a Custom Character Persona and Custom Character Reset Tokens that can be grindable or purchased in the store for the monetization side of the game. It would bring in more players that don't like the character based gameplay aspect of it, because even with additional cosmetics players might want a specific cosmetic from another Wayfinder that isn't accessible to the current Wayfinder they're using. It could technically make sense in the lore too since the Gloom disrupts space, time, reality, and the universe itself. They explained it in one of their videos regarding players starting to see other players, but their Wayfinder looking similar or too similar, but the cosmetics will change it up. For example: Your Wingrave encounters another player with Wingrave, but your cosmetic, weapon, build, and color palette is completely different from his. Since it's been teased that genderbent Wayfinders are coming in the future, that could also mean that Wayfinder cosmetics and Personas will get genderbent too. This can make sense for the universal Custom Character Persona because you can be a jacked male Eldren(dark elf), with Senja's abilities and stats, and have access to other Wayfinder cosmetics that you've already unlocked from grinding or bought in the store. Custom Character Personas are universal, meaning they can be applied to any Wayfinder you've unlocked. It doesn't affect the stats of your Wayfinder, it just gives you personalised feel. Like any other character creator, you can save presets of other looks you wish, but you're going to need a reset token if you ever get bored of the custom character/Persona you created. With that it would be nice to have individual Wayfinder ability VFX dyes to further enhance the personalised feel. Of course if you're using a specific Wayfinder when you have a Custom Character Persona equipped, there should be a Wayfinder icon beside your HP bar, so that in random matchmaking other pkayers in your group can recognise what character you're using, so at least they have an idea what to expect from you as you play with them inside the dungeon.
I'm like 15ish hours in (but taking it slow, so i don't really know how far i've progressed game-wise) and I love Wayfinder so far! There's a certain side quest that really impressed me with the dialogue/premise. I expected it to be a typical fetch quest, but i got so much more and i got so invested! Great game, sure it's early access but that means it'll just keep getting better.
@@MafiaCarpio i might just be cheesy, but it was Watcher Isti's quest, he's by the lift that takes you to and from skylight/highlands. It might not be as heart-tugging for everyone as it was for me. but reading the dialogue was worth it.
This game has greatly piqued my interest. I want to try it so bad but i feel like im gonna wait until the full release next year when it becomes free to play.
I'll try it out once it becomes free (when it fully releases). The fact that we can't make our own character does make it less appealing for me. Takes the role-playing from "Role-Playing Game".
the gameplay/fighting mechanics consists of: right slash, left slash, uppercut, and over head slam. THATS IT. Thats alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll you do over and over and over and over again. These guys really shouldve stuck with ACtion/Adventrure and gave us a TRUE Darksiders 4 not some phony fake isometric diablo fake
Guys he is covering this game because he was sponsored by developers. Why should he cover warframe when it is not for the most channel audiences? But it's funny how this game is like darksiders, lol and warframe mashed together
Does somebody else have problems with stuttering and the game biting for almost 2 seconds? I can't find anybody having same problem, I have 4070 ffs this should not be happening
Of course the coolest race is unplayable. Not the greatest issue, but why do we always have to be human? I'm human 24/7, I don't need it in my illusion as well.
hot take: imho, it's more of a fantasy rather than scifi aside from design wise it being more like classic western fantasy even lore wise, "the gloom" and all this stuff seems more fantasy (unless it turns out the groom was a virus created in a lab or so..) also the "fusing magic and tech" generally speaking magic is the exact opposite as science. so as soon as you use magic, the "tech" will be tainted by it and cannot be science anymore. Unless you argue that "magic" is just another part of "science" within the fantasy world (for example like physics) than i guess within a fantasy setting the genre could be science. but the setting itself would still be fantasy (as fantasy is a setting not a genre, super natural would be the genre) just my tangent.. sry but thanks for the nice videos on Wayfinder :3 how do you think they would explain more and more wayfinders? lore wise, the lost group of seekers seemed rather limited (not like an army or so)
Unfortunately on my computer the Wayfinder was unable to maintain 60 fps. Ryzen 5 3600xt, Asus 3060 and 16gb ram Could anyone with the same or similar configuration tell me how the game is running?
Inn looking forward to playing this next year. Currently too deep into Star Rail and Legends of Runterra to pay for early access, but they do have some pretty affordable options. 👍🏾
Wonder how long way finder will last, it just doesn't aesthetically strike me as unique or special and the gameplay is seemingly mediocre and these two things come in first when it comes to attracting audiences.
