The Lost Boys was a great film. It was definitely a precursor movie that made vampires from living inside coffins to hanging out at an abandoned hotel beneath a cliff. This film went a long way in making them cool and edgy in popular culture. Although I don’t think it won any major awards, I feel like this was a very important film to the entire genre. It was a mix of horror, thriller and comedy, all the elements of a great teen film from the 80s. I would highly recommend this film for anyone who loved movies like Stand By Me or The Goonies!
