Funny how nowadays all we get are copy from those movies. This movie was the bomb, changed my life when I watched it. There is so much message in it. It's not about being Vampire, it's more about the socially rejects living how they want, and for new people they look like monsters, but at the same time their life is addicting and people outside want to join the small select club, but they know how to pick them right.
Totally agree Waltz and the beginning of the movie when it first starts depicts this when you see the people on the boardwalk as well as the song ... People are Strange. Picked this up too along with all you said when I FIRST watched the movie. Thought also, now this is a movie ALL will relate to cause of the theme (just that of strange people fitting in) the mystery of being a vampire and what it must be like to live forever as well as the sexiness of it etc... it has everything for everyone in this movie! Just a real diamond in the rough in the history of movie making!! None other compares before or after thus far and doubt it ever will.
I agree and I’m a society reject so it is fun getting to do what I want with my friends that are also rejects and people think that the stuff we do is insane and they make a point in letting us know
This movie rocks!! It used to scare the hell out of me but it's one of my favorites now. I LOVE Kiefer Sutherland! He gave one of the best performances in this film. I thought he was truly frightening as David. Such a classic! Love it! Great song! Perfect choice!
Lost Boys is a great 80's classic horror movie. Definitely brings back great memories of when movies brought the best in Hollywood. Now, all we see is remakes, reboots, comic book movies, and whatever else Hollywood tries to pitch our way. www.classic80smovies.com
OMG, Kiefer is so awesome in this movie. I love him, I love him, I love him! He's sexy, scary, suave, and evil all at the same time. This is one of the best 80s flicks. Freaking awesome. I love this video and love the song! I love Pink Floyd's version but I had never heard of this version. I really like it. Fits perfectly with this film. Thanks for sharing! Awesome movie! :) :) :)

All of you should try to visit Santa Cruz California, where the movie was filmed. You see all of the boardwalk, train track, and comic store. All within walking distance. This movie and the city made it all worth wild!
ooo david is a hottie! i loved this movie so much, i want thing back to normal. when you said vampire people dident say stuff like "OMG EDWARD! HE"S SOOO SHINY!!" i say froget twilight and bring back the real vampires!!!

The Lost Boys now there is a good vampire movie that don't sparkle. LOL! Okay since when has Vampires sparkle. Thank god for Class of 99's version of Another Brick in the wall. I love Layne's voice RIP bud.
Why is it that you can go up to anyone on the street, say "Twilight" and they know what it is, but barley anyone of this generation know what the Lost Boys is when it's the best vampire movie I've ever seen?
David & Marko - Edward and Jacob any day. Like someone else had posted, whenever a fangirl mentions twilight, I mention The Lost Boys. The clear winner between the two movies? I think we all know.
I have the movie. My family loves it too. Got an education but what good is it when jobs are few? I'd be a vampire that eats the child molesters and killers who didn't kill in self defense. I'm 39 but want to stay young and strong for almost ever. Die eventually but when I'm ready after say 300 years ;) That would be cool. I'd prepare my death as a sacraficial and after being a good vampire be ready to meet our maker.
After 300 years I'd probably be a ruler of some kind. When 1000 years of peace arrives I'd be able to take my death in happiness, lit candles of red to wash away all bad blood spilled and some one trust worthy to kill me.
They seriously need to make a remake of this movie. out of all the classic movies that didn't need a remake they were remade. but this one right here would make a great movie to remake. they could have all the old cast in the movie play the parents and the other older people. didn't one of the cory's die or am I tripping? so many famous people from this era died in the last 6 years i'm losing count of who actually is still alive.
wow...this movie was came out the year I was born, kool! Is it weird that I think all the vampires are hot...well, not while they're actually vampires, of course..but yeah..love this movie!
It's amazing how they make movies. I wouldn't mind being in the film industry. The only thing I'm doing is writing a movie and if it stands a chance of making something I hope to have Kiefer star in it.
