My husband and I just finished watching your walk through Petra. We want to thank you. It was an amazing trip. It is a place that we would not be able to physically visit on our own but thanks to you we were able to visit virtually. We have enjoyed many of your trips but this one was extra special. Keep it up.
We feel the same way! Thanks so much for giving the world the opportunity to visit this special place at the comfort of our own home, great appreciated 👍🙏
This is my favourite of all the Prowalk videos so far. There is so much more to Petra than I ever imagined, having only seen pictures of the Treasury. As always it feels like being there in person, I could almost feel the grit underfoot and the dust blowing in my face. Keep up your amazing work
Oh, my gosh - this is probably the most satisfying, soothing, peaceful and entertaining time. I'm incredibly appreciative of your subtitles and information - I loved learning throughout this experience! WONDERFUL!
This is the best video of Petra I have ever seen, and I have seen many. This video take you to places I have never heard of in Petra. Voted BEST VIDEO OF PETRA!!!!! THANK YOU
Expert, calm and steady camera work, under ideal sunlit conditions. You brought the site to us armchair travelers sitting comfortably at home, while you deftly navigated unsignposted paths, treacherous declivities with absolutely no barrier to a precipitous fall. Brave! The definitive exploration of this site in depth. Respect!
How wonderful to have someone do this for us who can not! It was amazing and so interesting. I even appreciate the fact you don’t use your voice just your footsteps…but you still relate the information and historical aspects of this journey. I enjoyed it immensely.
Just wonderful. Your job is fantastic. All care with details, extremely well done, each new video manages to surpass the previous ones. Thank you very much. Next step: Valley of the Kings!
I don't know whether I will have any chance to visit Petra ever, but through your video I have enjoyed a lot. I had so many questions about Petra and most of them have been answered by your video. Thank you so much. Please post more and more videos. Especially about other modern 7 wonders.
Wonderful! I went back in the 70’s before there was a visitors center, portapotties, concessions, and shops. Just a few camels, boys with coolers filled with water bottles, a whole lot of rocks, and such grandeur. How amazing to see it now. Thank you!
Greetings from Romania...thank you for the video. It provided me the opportunity to "visit" Petra a location that has long intrigued me. As well, the information presented in the captions was both interesting and appreciated. Once again thanks. Job well done!
Great video, thank you very much for taking me back. Incredible how much more commercial it is today, my wife and I hiked around here in 1994 where there would have been a fraction of the people, we had the Monastery and surrounds to ourselves.
I have worked in Palestine and for fear of crossing israeli heavily armed and intimidating checkpoints I could not push me to travel to Petra. Now thanks to you I could fulfill my dream of visiting this fantastic place ! Thank you so much !
Thank you so much for making this wonderful video! It was fantastic to see each corner of the city. It was possible because you were alone and managed your own time. It gave me a good idea how well I need to be prepared to visit until the Monastery.
Omg those people are sitting in the edge! I get freaked out when I see that! Even if I could climb all those stairs I wouldn't ! Wow you did another amazing walk with this one! Thanks for the views!
This is a truly detailed and wonderful video - permitting so many of us to realistically and "virtually" tour an iconic place that we may otherwise not get the opportunity to visit. Thanks, very much!
You know.... sometimes I feel so blessed. My prayers are constantly being answered. YEARS ago, I wanted so much to visit this amazing place. It's revisiting the past and it's a bitter/ sweet type situation for me. I asked our CREATOR to see HIS Earth. it's happening. You have NO idea what your videos mean to us. You're taking us places we would probably NEVER go to on our own. Coming down that mountain, I prayed for you and those with you. It's amazing how our GOD speaks through HIS Creation. Thank you so very much. May all your good dreams come true and may you be granted a high station back in the Garden, our original Home. peace❤
I lived in Jordan in 1976, and visited Petra on two occasions. I heard there was much more there than I was able to see. This video makes that obvious. Thank you for this video. The vast scale of the place reminds me of the sets of early silent films by DeMille or Griffiths. The totality of the history of this place must be fascinating.
Hello, I enjoyed the walking tour very much. It feels like I was really there. I will never be able to actually visit in person. Love the historical story. Thanks
My friend, Ciao, having just joined with a membership this is so very special, and such a blessing you've shared this treasured sacred journey!! Might I ask & enquire if you plan to do these very long walks in the Old City of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Hebron?! Would especially request a full exclusive walking tour inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Mount of Olives, Shepherds Field, the Church of the Nativity. Don't forget all the amazing bazaars and shops including the olive wood carvings and the delicious food. I hope you love Schwarma My friend. Thank you again for this awesome video!! We cannot wait to see Egypt!!
Hey, thanks so much for supporting the channel! Yes, Jerusalem is on my list. I might try to get there in September. Thanks for all the suggestions too! I need to start planning it all out. Hope you enjoy this Petra walk. I was down in Naples today with the family but looking for some new places to film and getting some ideas.
@@ProWalks anytime My friend, If I had thought sooner about it years ago when we first began our friendship here, I would of joined then... - Laughs - .... just finished watching the 3 hr live event of The Holy Fire at the Church of The Holy Sepulchre, talk about spectacular! When you do Egypt, you plan on viewing that new museum, and all the pyramids and historic Monuments down the Nile, and of course don't forget Alexandria too! In the old city of Jerusalem they have a street called The Cordo, it's from Jesus time during Roman rule, and there's a site with markings in the stones etched called The Lithostrothos...or mocking games.
Wow! As a paraplegic I won't ever get to do this trip so thank you for sharing your fabulous walk about through Petra, it really was incredible. I have always wanted to know more and wanted to visit. Well now I've explored it thanks to you. Really impressed with your camera work and the captions really well done thank you....spent the first 2 hours 20 mins watching while I was doing physio, best physio session I've ever had!
I would have had to walk this before 60 yrs. Too bad we retire here in the US too late to experience this wonder of the world! Thanks for your video tour!
So, so many questions and things to say about this adventure. But I'll just say how much in AWE and APPRECIATION I hold for the gentlemen who made this! Thank you for such a piece of history learning. WOW! BY THE WAY. How are your legs and feet climbing all those steps? 😮
Hey Jeff, I'm glad you enjoyed the tour! I had never been there before so it was a great new experience for me. I was exhausted at the end of the day but legs and feet felt fine afterwards..or....felt fine the next day I should say. Thanks for checking out the video!
Wow thank you for this magnificent tour, you are one of the best walking tour channels out there, I love your video angles and shots. I have been falling in love with Capri and Almafi through your videos and now I can see Petra, one place that I really wanted to see for a long time, hopefully, I can see it someday myself. And that shortcut way from highest view is scary :D
Hello, Greatly appreciations to you for this fantastic video, I am a Jordanian, since childhood on 1960s visiting Petra tens of times, surrounding all these places, the reason of keeping watch this video for first time and will keep doing that is to remind me many parts of my life history when I was walking on these places, ,too much developments and new founded places are continue every year. I ve graduated from Jordan Universities, in Archeology & History , and can witness that this video is the greatest tour about Petra city, sharing it to many friends, advising to watch it by each one who plans to visit Petra City, to know how perfectly. Thank you again.
Ahhhhh....Petra full walk is here..and that is a long long walk , hopefully it also covers the high place of sacrifice...first time i have seen I LOVE PETRA sign...its such a previlege to be able to watch this walk..Petra is incredible..
Ugh..sorry about that..I wasn't able to get to the high place of Sacrifice unfortunately. I meant to but I had to get back to my hotel by 4pm to get a covid test so I could fly to Egypt the next day so I had to leave the site a little earlier than planned and I decided not to do that trail.
@@ProWalks Thats perfectly alright and understandable! With the covid tests and all that stuff you still covered a lot of ground...and you were there only for 2 days..i am so grateful for this incrdeible walk..the time and effort you put in your walks is much appreciated....take care Isaac..You are special.
Thank you @ProWalk for this amazing video. Feels like I am there. After seeing this video I feel like I already visited Petra - no need to go there in person. Many places like Petra are difficult to and get around - this video saved me the hassle of visiting Petra while virtually experiencing most of its sights.
Hey, you are very welcome. I'm glad the video gave you a good sense of what it is like there. I probably should have ended the walk by walking up through the town but oh well. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This was amazing! Thanks so much - I’ll be watching it again. How you manage those ‘trails’ and with a camera, I’ve no idea!..but it’s much appreciated 😀👍🏴
Thay donkey around the 1 hour mark was NOT pleased 😂😂 i had to stop running for a bit bc i was laughing too much Loved this! The length of the video was perfect to time my workouts to. Much appreciated
So much has changed, I visited Petra in 1994. We only had a half day, wish it could have been one or two days. There is a lot I missed, thanks for the virtual tour.
I am astounded by your camera's stability and the stunning live shots you obtained. Petra's terrain is harsh and full of natural dips, ups, and downs. We must commend your outstanding performance and effort in photography.
I have a bout an hour left on the tour thank you so much for the whole episode I learned so much I thought the main tomb at Petra was the only thing there was I wrong
This is an incredible video. My husband and I looked through a lot of "professional" video from Petra, but we never received visual information in such quantities and quality as from this video. We thank you for making this path with you. I must admit that when viewing a "fast" descent, I was worried that however, as if myself was descended by this "deadly" trail. I am grateful to you for the trip, which I can not commit, I have a sick heart and your video is the only chance for me to see the incredible places of Peters.
Wonderful job and enjoyed your sense of humor. What an inspiration of what humanity can be capable of! I could see how it may have been like, what a remarkable place to have lived. So glad it is being cherished and honored. Wish we knew more.
Petra is the actual Mecca, according to the most recent research. I would love to visit Jordan some day. Wow, but 2 hours into this and I was sweatin' for ya. Very treacherous. I could handle the hike but not sure I would want to climb down like that. You did incredibly well!! :)
Hey, thanks David. Who knows! :) I just got a few more accessories for this new camera which should help improve the video quality. I've also purchased some new sound equipment that should reduce the wind noise from here on out. My family and I just walked in the door from spending a few hours down in Naples. It was really nice out. I'll be going there over the next couple weeks to get some new video. Should be good.
For sure. I am just waiting for it to warm up just a bit. I was thinking about going there today just to check it out but I ended up going to Naples instead.
Amazing! To think these were made and carved by hands! I wonder where they get their water source? The place looks so dry and barren. It’s now on my bucket list. Thank you for this wonderful video!
You must not of had the captions on. :) There was a spring in the town where this walk started and they built water channels through the Siq so that the whole town was supplied with water. They also had cisterns. The whole place was lush and green for a time.
Another great walk. Thanks Prowalk Tours. I loved the sculpted facades and beautiful layers of rock colours and the visas you showed us. As usual your captions were informative and interesting. What type of plants were the dark green ones growing close to the ground in bushes? It was hard to tell. The didn't look like cactus to me. Safe travels to you.
I wan't you to know how grateful I am for your vids. Suffice to say that I am practically immobilized, and places such as the above are absolutely out of reach for me. However by "walking" with you I feel like actually being there!. I've always enjoyed sightseeing. I prefer monuments rather than nature, but nature is also fine. Thank you a million times and please, don't stop, please continue. Thank you, thank you, thank you :) I would hug you for this If I could :). Waiting for new releases. Any holiday season plans?
That was AMAZING!!! There are only 2 places I dream of going, and Petra was one of them! Thank you for filming this amazing video! I had NO IDEA Petra was so humongous! I was literally glued to your video for every second of it! Now if you will go to Israel and film in Jerusalem's Old City I will be thrilled!!!
Its Palestine where Jerusalem is, not and will never be Israel. Same where King Obada and Alhareth the Nabatian who build Petra where Arabs grandfather's and where being attacked by foreign enemies thousands years ago.
I visited Petra in the early-mid '90s, The Siq hadn't been cleared yet and the ground was really very bumpy. It was still allowed to go into the Treasury but I can assure you that there was nothing to see inside: a very small room completely empty. But it's incredible how many tourists there are now. When I went they were a tiny fraction of the ones in this video. At that time I was very saddened by the very poor conditions the animals were kept, donkeys, horses, camels, working very long hours, 7 days a week and left often in the sun (it was June when I went and it was really very hot) without food and water. I know that animal organisations have tried to improve the situation since then, but from what I have seen here the situation remains dire. Very sad poor things.
