Haha, you putting the ShogunGekkomon set in the thumbnail threw me for a loop, "I have that!". I def do NOT have that rare Frontiers set or the Savers/Data squad one, but I do have a giant tub of a bunch of the Adventure, 02, and a few other Frontiers figures. You said you were still missing some of those? Which ones do you need/want? If anybody else is interested let me know as well, been thinking about selling them and the similar giant Pokemon mini figure tub I have anyways.
@@Shnickerman I do not have an IG account I can access now, sadly! However, I do have a list of what figures I have, and I shot you an email at the email address in your about section here on RU-vid. Let me know if you can't find the email!
I actually remember owning the data squad figures as a kid. They were pretty common in toystores in the Philippines for a short while. I had the pack with rizegreymon and the mystery figure was a metallic silver Lilamon.
First off, I love that you made a video on these 3 rare mini figure sets! It seems you and I have been on a similar hunt for these figures. I've been doing my fair share of research on this exact thing for the last year and a half. I'd love to talk more with you. I've recently come across some information about Sets 59-61, including some more pictures. I'm going to DM you on Instagram. Love the content man!
i randomly found some at a carboot sale when i was a kid. in a bag with a load of pokemon knock offs. felt like striking gold back then! i still have them to this day.
Digimon was totally my thing as a kid, and I had almost every single one of these little figures from season 1-4. However my mom was a serial de clutter person and we got rid of them. Very sad day, wish I grew up in a household that held onto childhood toys in a box in the attic.
@@Shnickerman Ok so I actually finished the video and have some more insight. I remember way back as a kid learning about the 3 Frontier sets that were never released because they had some official images on either the Bandai website or the digimon website at the time. Some website that was listed on the back of the packaging so maybe you can wayback machine and find that information. I remember going to stores looking for these sets but they never were released. Also remember a larger set for Data Squad that I believe had all 4 sets in one or 3 in one something like that. Also funnily enough I sold @rexanimon my digimon figuarts/D-arts and digi colle collections back in 2021 so I know him as well lol.
Hi, very interesting vid about the Digimon Mini Figures. As a collector of Digimon Figures (but the bigger, better ones for me:) in general, I know the pain and struggle to find them back then, especially those rare Bandai Japan, Asia exclusive ones, but it was all easier compared with todays struggle. So I was very lucky and got almost all I known which existed and I wanted and got some which are considered to be Holy Grails todays, but back then still to more reasonable prices (bargain prices in compare to todays insane prices) still with box or blister. Which is still unbelievable to me that I was able to get my hands on those. Like the big, 8" Spirit-Evolution Set's of KaiserGreymon & MagnaGarurumon which can combine to form Susanoomon. And do you know the Bandai Korea Exclusive Releases of this normal Digivolving Line of Data Squad/Savers. Bandai Korea also made 3 further of such transforming Digimon for Savers, from the Japanese Prototypes, while Bandai Japan canceled the production of those further 3 planned ones, only Bandai Korea made them real and released them. I got all 3 of those Digivolving Korea Exclusive Figures, from an Korean Ebay Seller/shop for example, but at this time I only knew and read about those 3, that their production got canceled, though I knew much at this time already, that was still crazy as I found all 3 there, because in my world they shouldnt just exist. BTW: reviews are coming soon about them in my channel.😅 I just wanted to tell you, because you mention this real struggle to get them todays and the prices all gone nuts for pretty much every Digimon action figure, Bandai made. But there are some stories to tell about all those Digimon Figures, I found out myself since doing the research for getting them and some stories are still untold while being still unclear, which I also found out through comments on my vids and so on... There were also Bandai U.S. Exclusives in general for the Digi-Warrior line we never seen in Europe, but Bandai Asia also imported them. I'am not in those Digimon Minifigures, but as I said before, I like the bigger ones better so I did Videos and later reviews about my whole collection since I started my channel, please feel free to visit it if you want see some other rare Digimon Figures of the past and also new ones.👍
@@Shnickerman yeah, it's like you mentioned in your vid: Digimon fans/collectors are more hardcore. Or have to be more hardcore -because of this 🤣 BTW: while you spoke of those DataSquad/Savers mini figure sets, maybe never seen a release and maybe never produced and I wrote also about some Savers action figures. Do you know the smaller Data Squad (bigger than Mini figures) Lightning Digivolving action figure series, with the body pieces put on armor transformation ? There are also two pictures more on those orange blister cards, showing two further Lightning Digivolving figures for this line, I also think never got produced, except the prototypes for the promo shots. I never seen those two further Lighning Digivolving Figures with in hands photos, or something like this -just those promo shots on the back side of the blister. And also at Wikimon you can find those photos. But also when those images seem to look a bit different, from the photo angle, that are just the same product shots form the blister, just a bit zoomed and edited. So it could be the way that the further Data Squad mini figure sets you mentioned here, also never got produced.
Huh. I remember buying a lot of those mini figures back in the day at places like Kmart and stuff. I have them floating around somewhere. I doubt I'd have had any of the rare sets you're talking about but maybe it's worth selling some of them.
