The cracks were seeable ever since the very 2nd update kong made. A lot of the time for surviv spent past that was just it's suffering in it's deathbed

i played this game back in 2019 over and over, i became better than the dude who showed me it. but i'm crying to know that it's over. also the new game sucks :(

the dumbass new devs. The new devs of surviv io thought that skins and passes were better then the actual game. stupid fucking idea. its sad really.

Kongregate, and starvation of updates. A lot of flashy battlepasses, messed up main menu, disregard for the community. The middle of the screen was no longer occupied by server select and play game, it was your battlepass progress, which is telling. Play was shoved all the way to the bottom right

@@demonicplayz9548 updates themselves also starved surviv out of it's character. Surviv had it's own lore, well planned gamemodes and on each return they always brung something new. Kongregate didn't inherit such philosophies, it's twists on holiday based gamemodes sucked and eventually they made modes rotate DAILY, which simultaneously starved each and every one out of it's fun near instantly. They didn't make any new secrets or try to twist lore their own way, they abandoned it all to look closer to zombsroyale, the inferior but more monetized variant of a 2d battle royale. And I didn't even start on the gamemodes yet, winter's cold mechanics was one of the laziest additions surviv has seen and that just was the first update surviv had, so were the footsteps. They added freezing as a way to prevent camping, undermining battle awareness completely and adding a perk to disable said feature entirely. New anti cold drink was disgusting, as it straight up dilluted the healing item pool and made pacing slower, as you'd spend more time scavenging for a bandage running low and just WAITING to be ambushed. Valentines day updates straight up ripped off april fool's potato idea with a lazy recolor and an effect that straight up doesn't make sense. How do the bullets that you fire become weak when you're under the "in love" effect? The new pastry house added nothing new aside from some box reskins and it was the only other new thing. Potatoes and spud gun were still kept, meaning it was just a cringier april fool variant. Patrick's day mads it worse, rainbow gun was one of the most stupid things the game could fathom, and they added an item SPECIFICALLY MADE to counter said terribly broken item, and didn't even code in the synergy perk correctly - you could teleport inside certain locations you're supposed to open from the outside and get stuck. Pretty certain there were water guns at some point. Kong butchered what was otherwise a perfectly fine game
