As for this figure, I love the look. The Big Baby looks amazing and the Samaritan, his pistol is well made, amazing details, and perfectly casted and colored. Add to that both guns pop open while that's not very practical for posing it is a cool and unique feature. Whenever the accessories get such epic treatment I appreciate their work, and these are spot on perfection! The designs are perfect, the logos on the hand grips are spot on, and the weathering is insanely done! That said however placing the guns in Hellboy's hand seems to difficult and impossible to do. The fingers could have had a more pliable plastic, or bendable? Whatever the term. But the face sculpt is excellent, the trench coat is very well made and I like the holster but again too much manipulation needed for the gun to be placed correctly. Those "gripes" are miniscule however, for me the figure is definitely worth it! Just needs some tweaking.

I used to have only the Johann Krauss figure from this line. It was great. Regrettably I sold my entire Hellboy collection back in 2009. Never liked the movie based figures from Mezco (aside from Johann, and preferred the comic book Hellboy figures they did (which now sell for insane prices). I managed to snag a protoype / test-shot of one of their 18 inch Hellboy figures... Hopefully will have a review of it later this week. Love the first two Hellboy movies, just not the figures as much, but wanted to check them out. Also, you were having trouble with Hellboy's Samaritan gun because it goes in the other way around. Thought you were going to break it while filming, glad it survived! Thanks for another awesome review!
I know this is a late comment on this particular figure, but the fact the Hellboy reboot was so weak, and the first Hellboy was amazing I wanted to check this out again. Hellboy II wasn't as good as the first BUT it's at least holds the continuity of the story. The reboot was just off. I didn't hate it, but I like Ron Perlman's version much better, and I truly believe a Hellboy III would have been a better choice than the reboot. What bums me out more is I missed out on these figures from all of the movies. Not a very good decision on my part!
I want to rewrite my comment in regards to what I said about the Hellboy reboot. I STILL PREFER the Del Toro version by far, however recently I received the reboot as a gift. The Steel-book version. I re-watched it and while not nearly as good as the first I have a new appreciation I guess for it. It's not great, and in many ways it had some decent moments. The giants for example were kinda cool. I still wish they'd make more toys of the original movie however.
