This wasn't the first time Herbie was cut in half, it happened in the original movie as well with the split being from side to side. yeah, Herbie is pretty much immortal.
Thing is, I'm a big Herbie fan, and I remember loving this movie as a kid. Also, while I would agree that Herbie: Fully Loaded had a really stupid title, I don't consider it the worst film in the series (it's actually pretty decent). That honor would go to Herbie Goes Bananas, in which we see Latin American stereotypes that even by the standards of the early 80s where painfully outdated!
You know what's weird? You're making Transformers jokes in your review of a movie featuring a living Volkswagen Beetle, and you don't reference Bumblebee once. I jest. Great video. The evil Beetle is amazing.
There is a racing series dedicated to shitboxes. It's called the 24 hours of LeMons. Cars are supposed to be under $500, not including safety equipment.
Why didn't they cite The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. or Hercules: The Legendary Journeys on the back of the box? Those are more suitable a references for kids than a Tarantino movie!
Anything (non-negatively) featuring a Volkswagen Beetle is the best thing ever. so this is the best RU-vid video ever, I wish I could up-vote it more than once.
P.s. I just noticed the guy who played Jonathan in the mummy movies was in this hernia movie too lol, he popped up in this review just I finished that previous comment lol
I loved this series when I was a kid! Never saw this one, but in hindsight it was a really weird series...is this movie in the Herbie canon, or the origin story and stuff ignored since they didn't put this one on DVD?
I saw the original Herbie films when I was a kid, and I saw this one as an adult... and yet this one is my favourite of the bunch! (...still haven't seen that Lohan one though....) :)
I Love This TV Movie Felt It Held The Spirit Of Both The Original Film And The First 2 Sequels And That Scene With Dean Jones In Herbie In The Film Just Made Me Cry
It always shocks me that Bruce Campbell never became a bigger star and he ended up in rubbish like this. Pity his breakthrough wasn't now cause he would make a great lead in a Marvel movie, he just oozes coolness.
To be fair, he was entertaining in his roles in the Raimi Spider-Man movies. However, I'm not really sure what character he could play in an MCU movie or show.
I feel like the original idea was C-AR-T but it was too awkward, but they didn't want to scrap the idea either, they tried various ideas like art-omotive and gas-thetics and arti-stick-shift, eventually they settled on vehicul-art because it was the least terrible.
I haven't seen it in a while but I don't remember it being terrible. I think everyone knew what kind of movie they were in. I mean Matt Dillion definitely got it. For sure.
I'm surprised they didn't know who dean Jones name from this movie. I only wanted to see this for the cutie Alexandra Wentworth from In Living Color back then.
There was a period of time when this came out that ABC was remaking quite a few old Disney live action classics. The Love Bug, the Shaggy Dog, Freaky Friday, etc. They were mostly pretty good in my pre-teen opinion but I'm not sure how well they aged. ... They certainly were better than the later theatrical remakes that had Lindsey Lohan in more than one of them.
The original Love Bug is the best Disney movie by far. And that is putting it mildly. I'd go so far to say that, aside from the other original Herbie movies is the only good Disney movie. And I'm not only saying this as person who doesn't like movies in general but loves the VW Beetle fanatically, but also as someone who just happens to be correct from a neutral point of view despite not being neutral.
@@teedup8995 Yes, I remember that series. Hard to forget anyway since the next big thing about a sentient Beeetele was Transformers, which also had a yellow Beeetle. It was a shame they made Dudu some kind of dune buggy though.
Oh thank Goodness! I had avoided this sode cuz I thought it was the Lyndsay Lohan 1- but the title says its w/Bruce Campbell, 1 of my fave actors~( his book, "Make Love! The Bruce Campbell Way," is a good read, check it out) so I couldn't process what a juxtaposition that would be & finally gave in. So glad it wasn't the Lohan disaster, but I'm still not gonna watch it. I figure seeing it vicariously thru you guys is enough. I wonder how peeps would stack this against IceBreaker?
23:22 Herbie was cut in half (width-wise, not length-wise) in the original as well. Yawn. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4XWufUZ1mxQ.html
Guys I am disappointed in you. Dana Gould longtime writer and producer for The Simpsons. Big time stand up. Not related at all to Harold or Elliot Gould.
The opening theme needs to be about half as long. I get that she's going for a satire of cheesy 80's shows but this is RU-vid ut just doesn't work. I always just ski to :30
Try Bobsheaux's one whole minute long opening accompanied by really loud uptempo music. I don't mind it, but you don't like long intros, you'll probably find that one exhausting.
