🌷I watched this on my little iPhone screen. I thought it was going to be another fluffy silly movie. I’m in my 70s, I’ve seen every type of imaginable movie out there…. My expectations here were low - lol. But, this was a good movie; well written directed and acted. It kept my attention, and it seemed ‘real’ (ya, I know the crossing through the veils of time part was different but still… ) My very best to you all… Also… be proactive in finding a true, long-lasting, mutually-unconditional love. Join clubs & groups… join the Audubon Society, join a hiking group… anything; if you don’t, you may blink your eyes, and wake up in your 70s… it truly does go that fast dear ones. 💕
Late to the party! Watching this on a lazy Sunday afternoon in July 2024. This is so romantic and touching, sort of like a forbidden love. The time travel reminds me a bit of the movie ‘Somewhere in Time.’
I watched this movie over & over. I didn’t want the movie to end, so like crazy, I rewind. Back & forth I watched. This is one movie that touched me, BIG TIME!! Whoever created this movie is genius. They don’t make movie this way anymore. Hats off to all of the characters whose involved in making this AMAZING MOVIE. Thank you for the upload. I started watching @ 11:10pm. It is now 3:30am. From: Hawaii, U.S.A.
Aloha Mariemiller3666, reading your comment here makes me laughed because I am the same with this movie! I watched it over 20 times in the past 3 years and I love it so much that I even bought the DVD of this movie!! Maybe it is our unknown secret longing that deep within, wishing there is a deep love / soulmate somewhere that we can experience true love with and maybe … wishing that there is another life which would fulfill our deepest longing, to complete us…it is 11.00 pm here and I am watching THE LOVE LETTER on RU-vid, it just happened to show up on my feed while I am searching the channels for junk journals lol! I was surprised…so enjoy the movie. Aloha from across the sea. Blessings.
Same feelings i have....hiw could a person conceptualise such marvel...beyond our thoughts but i felt like living with the characters...so much like of my own skin n blood....just glowing like a Christmas tree after watching this diamond a movie
When I met the love of my life, I was reminded of a letter I wrote at 14 addressed to him, the love of my life… certain details of my letter were exact; we only had hours together just like these two… it has been enough for a lifetime! Those hours were beyond magic , I surrendered to love itself, together we reached a sacred space, that I return to every time something reminds me of us. Tonight I just stumbled into this movie, perhaps just to remind u all , it’s possible, it happens. Such a connection 💕 does exists. Love, the real thing ,is the strongest force in the Universe !
Like your comment 👍. I’ve wished for a lifetime of a miracle just like this and wondered more than I can count that if two souls can collide/cross paths (and time) and destined to meet again?! Can the connections of true love breaks all barriers and defined the law of nature? The Love Letter is a beautiful, well casted, well made movie, so glad I get to see it (over 20 times in the past 3 years, lol!) Somewhere In Time is another such movie that warms my heart! 😀
Back when Hallmark actually had a soul? Who wrote this gem of a movie? I was not worthy to sit through such romance and historical accuracy, and to stumble upon it by chance no less. My word. I am two years older than Lizzie now. My word. I am blissfully speechless.
Oooh. I love movies in the 80s. The color of the picture, the scenery, the clothing, the hairstylw, something about it just seems happy. I miss it. I miss my childhood in the 80s, too. Sometimes, I'd wish to go back to it even just for a day.
I though you were refering to the 1880's when one sideof this film was set.... i live in an 1830- 1850's house ...and i found a box of letters ❤. I love this film
This is an absolutely magnificent movie! It just "happened" to pop up on my feed for no apparent reason. But I know the reason, and it has touched my heart in the deepest and most hopeful of ways. Thank you soooo very much for sharing!❤️
Saw this movie back in the 90’s as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie! Loved it so much that I bought a VHS tape at the time. Great to see it again. Thanks!
Beautiful emotional movie, if you loved this one you will love For All Time ( 2000) A man facing middle-age and a failing marriage finds a time slip that can take him back to the end of the 19th Century.
This is scary, just finished watching the movie, and thought, I will have a quick read of the comments. I read yours and you mention The Lake House. While I was watching the movie, I put on the TV, for the evening news in Melbourne, then then changed channels to see what was on the movieland channel, and it was The Lake House, a bit of a coincidence.
Watched "The Lake House" after seeing this movie. Really enjoyed both as I'm into this type of storyline as well as time traveling movies/shows like "Outlander."
Great film. But the best time travel film ever is from the Original Star Trek Series. The episode called’ The City at the edge of Forever’. Highly recommended.
Oh wow!!! Soul mates and time travel. Beautiful. We live in a matrix. But time is only a perception, past present and future are one. We just cant see it. Amazing how simple yet so complicated. Loved it. Thank you
One of the best films ever! We always caught it but missed the credits. I called it “letters in the desk” for years until the internet helped find the title.
Saw this movie on TV many years ago and ADORED it! Took me years to track down a region 2 version on DVD and I will not lend it to ANYONE as it would be impossible to replace! Yes, it's really that good... drop everything and watch it immediately❤
This is DEFINITELY one of my all-time favorite movies!! I saw this on TV several years ago as a Hallmark movie special, & tried (unsuccessfully) to find it!! Many years passed, & I forgot who the actors were (I kept thinking maybe Thomas Gibson). By chance, I stumbled onto this tonight & was thrilled to be able to watch it again!! Thank you!! ❤❤
I don't usually watch romance movies because sometimes they're over the top but because it's Campbell and Jennifer Leigh I know it's worth a try and thank you, it is!
True love transcends all times. The unfinished true love for each other is given fruition even at present time. I remembered "Somewhere in Time" starred by late Superman actor Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.
I have seen this movie many times over the years and NEVER tire of it, I think I still even have it on an old VHS tape that I can’t watch anymore. Thankyou for posting, I love this movie.
India, August 31, 12 47 am. I have felt this when I found my true love in the most unusual circumstances who comes from an absolutely different background and generation. Instantly you recognise, trust the person, as if you were waiting for him all this time, you have a deep connection from a past life - both ways and get bound for life inspite of all the distances we have in between from age to family and society. Our feelings got stronger over a period of fourteen years. We don't live with each other and live absolutely separate lives in two parallel worlds with no expectations from the relationship but we are still connected. I am still waiting alone to have a life together but that seems impossible in our present lifetime. I hope this movie is a work of fiction but sometimes fact is Stanger than fiction.
This is a beautiful film. The story may strange but deeply romantic. Though I am living in Switzerland, I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and felt connected to this story. Thank you so much for posting this movie. ❤
This movie is better than somewhere in time. And the screen play is fabulous. So much magical and I'll never grow tired of watching it. Thanks to the Uploader.
Piękny film... Liryczna, chwytająca za serce muzyka... Uniknięto tu filozoficznej i etycznej zagadki, związanej z tematyką "podróży w czasie", która pojawia się w "For All Time" (2000).
This movie never made it into german programs. I am so pleased to see it after so many years I longed for it! Jennifer Jason Leigh and Campbell Scott made an great "Mrs Parker and her vicious circle". I loved the energy between them. So "Love letter" now beamed them in my heart again!❤ Thank you!💝
It's a very beautiful film. I cried. Thank you. I knew the actor but not the actresses but they were all excellent. This is the third romantic film that plays out crossing time into the past and the present/future. And I love it. Especially, that this one has a happy ending at least in the 'present' for Scott is meeting a girl who is exactly like Elisabeth.
And I always thought past birth films were only made in India !! A very sensitive & a beautiful story told. Felt every emotion , every ache.Touched my heart in more ways than one. Wish the story had continued…
Their past lives in the 19th century were as 'Caleb' and 'Lizzy,' but he was killed in battle before they could wed and she never married afterward. In the 20th century, they were reborn as 'Scott' and 'Beth,' respectively, and are reunited in the end. It's implied that they have a happy ending in this lifetime.
💔💔💔💔 and joy😂😂😂 what a wonderful movie 🥰🥰 such a emotional romantic ❣️ which's very rare these days of killings/shameful degrading sexualised societies!! Thank you so much for sharing dignified entertainment 💯👍😘💖 Scott is so handsome with his sad eyes and innocent 😍😍
Thank you for sharing this movie. It made me recall the life I had in the 80's and 90's-the wonderful and beautiful moments with friends and a special friend.
One of my all-time favorite movies. I've watched it many times, and never tire. It has it all, wonderful storyline and acting, history and intrigue, love and romance.
Wauw, Hall Mark- Hall of Fame weet ze er goed uit te halen. Ik ben dol op dit thema, waarin twee eeuwen door elkaar lopen en de tijdgeest behouden blijft. Dan Curtis dit a good job. Ik werd emotioneel, mij eigen pijn van verlies kwam boven drijven.
I have downloaded the movie one month ago and from then on I'm nibbling on it. I have not let it finished. And till now I am just half way through it. I believe, I fear, if I finish watching it, I will lose the magic. It is a worthy gem to cherish for such a foolish romantic like me.
Charming, romantic, and classic. And yes, of course I didn't want it to end, lol. I've always been of the opinion that ancient movies are the most interesting. Then we get a mixture of ancient and modern, and BOOM, you can't get enough. Thanks for sharing, I love good movies like this anytime......❤. Reminds me of (The Black Knight movie)I love the part when they eventually get to meet in their real time and wish to see more...😊 💕
