Your creations are always wonderful, dear Lucia. I don't often find dead animals, but I'm not against using them in art or magik, as I believe it is a way to honor Mother Earth and Her Creations. I once found a dead baby bird that probably died after a summer storm. I took it, cleaned it and now his small skull leaves in my altar, as a present for Persephone.
So glad you narrated this video. I love your voice. I am in Western Australia and here we find animals that have perished sadly by the road. Often I will find snakes and bury them, then later use their bones fir decoration, and you are right - to honour the animal. I think it’s lovely.
Aww thank you so much! I was thinking about your previous comment when I decided to voice over this one. You really helped me to get over my insecurity so again thank you so much!
Thank you !! I dont see diffrence between feather and feet in a way that I treat both with respect as they belonged to other creature. Using them ethically in art is very meaningfull for me, but this may be also very innapropriate for some so I though that this is a great topic for a discussion :D thank you for your reply I 100% agree
Lucia, i love your videos your voice is inviting, enchanting and utterly spellbinding. Also what beautiful works of art you create, i am an Australian practicing witch and i love how you explained your use of feathers etc from the deceased animals to honor their lives and continue to show their beauty in your most artistic and beautiful books. This is a practice i also use so no animals are harmed but always honored. I adore all the books you and your Witchy Mom make. Love, Light and Bright Blessing be upon you both. ❤🕯💎🕊🍄🍁🍀🌹🦉 Kellhalla.
i am new to your channel and i make all sorts of journals, currently working on a witch journal and your videos are so inspiring. I live in qld australia, and I often pick up animal bones from kangaroos and birds that are hit by cars. I think its a beautiful way to honor them, and remember them. I would never hurt an animal of course, and have great compassion and love for mother earth and all that dwell in it.. I have a bag of kangaroo bones sitting as we speak, outside in the sun to be used for projects in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creative spirit.. have a blessed day x
I think your journal is lovely. THANK YOU FOR NOT HURTING ANIMALS FOR ARTS!!! I am supremely against any cruelty towards the most sacred souls on Earth. I don't mind using feathers that are naturally shed by the birds around my garden. I would only use those ,however. I think buyers of journals may get the wrong idea...so I would never use any "parts" or bones. I just fear that buyers may not share our concern or protective spirit towards animals. Once again, I thank you for pointing out a very serious issue for crafters and buyers alike!!! ❤️🖤❤️🖌️🎨📚
I have used feathers I have found on the ground, I would not use commercial feathers as they are ripped off live animals. I also do not use leather or silk as they are also from cruelty to animals. We are Vegan so we are careful with everything we use including glue and paint, brushes and many other craft items. It is not hard to research what is cruelty free. If you can choose compassion why wouldn't you?
