Lovemore Majaivana was driven out of music by design, make no mistake about that. ZBC and ZMC were/are used by Zanu as part of their strategy to marginalize people from Matebeleland. Majaivana was probably the biggest and most consistent artist in the 80s and early 90s. That was never going to be allowed to go unchecked by Zanu people. Here we are now, with the biggest and best Mthwakazi artist having been frustrated so much that he quit music. On his last album, Majaivana has a song that describes his frustration with Zimbabwe and why he stopped singing. I know that we'd all love to see Majee do a show but I for one respect that he's decided that he will never do that. Let Majee have peace in his old age and let's just enjoy the gift that is the music he left us.
Ngivumelana lawe. Kubuhlungu kuyadanisa. Kodwa that is the reality of the situation. So much talent was lost in that way. Let him enjoy his retirement in peace.

Last year we had to Google about him after the argument l started noticing a number of posts about his where abouts and the birthday. If the man ever comes back in Zimbabwe for a show that place will be packed to the gutters 💪
