You can work around it if you have a card/pill/rune or trinket, by dropping it and picking it up. The animation will prevent you taking the devil deal while passing through it. Also using an active item does the same.
@@timcellar9021 to the best of my knowledge, everything in Isaac is seed based. I tested it myself on a single seed with and without Perfection and I always got the same first twenty rolls, down to whether it spawned a coin, and what kind of coin. Even stuff that scales with Luck, like Room Rewards, are still fundamentally seed based, and they will react to changes in the Luck stat in a way that is, again, based on the seed, and therefore predictable and repeatable
