I went to Adam's this week to wrap up the things we needed to get done. I love how it turned out, minus all the extra stuff that Adam installed like extra crazy carts and random engines laying around. Once he gets his truck, we'll do a final photoshoot and clean up.

They are good for what you pay for it. They are German engineered, but Chinese built.

The fact they are Chinese built is what prevents me from buying them. Same with the Sonic tools. P.S. Both SK and Snapon sells tools with foam inserts. You have to contact Snapon Industrial

I love sonic tools. I am a mechanich from the Netherlands and I've worked with their tools since I started out and still prefer them over any brand I've tried. The quality they have at such a price is unbeatable. And their customer support/warranty service is awesome. If 1 of the tools breaks you can just send a picture of the broken tool and they'll ship a replacement the next day.

Nice curb-appear with garbage and recycling bins at your front door. Everything else is so beautiful and set up so meticulously. Bins couldn't go in a Rubbermaid shed on the side of the house?

Stumbled on your channel,man you guys are Great.Thought I had a nice garage and work area but yours is 1st class.My budget is not what yours is ,but hey, it all works for me.Great videos and info thanks for sharing your knowledge. I went with the vintage stereo set-up, Marantz 2285b and the large Advent speakers.Nice warm rich sound.

For the $$ SVS can't be beat! I have the SVS PC-2000 along with a DefTech sc4000 in my living room Home Theater and the SVS rivals subs costing much more. Very clean, tight, controlled loud bass. I would highly recommend one as your 2nd sub in your theater room Matt, that room would really kick ass.

I know this video is old and you are working with dynaudio but would you still recommend these speakers/sub combo? The price is pretty competitive unless dyna has something similar to offer. Thanks in advance Matt!

I would have probably just mounted the speakers under the cabinets with some type of flush mount but you would have some reverb and echoing. Then you would have to figure something else out for lighting under cabinets.

If you got those sonic tools would you replace your saber cabinets or just get the cutouts? It be pretty expensive to replace them but you seem like you would want it to perfectly fit in the drawers.

That's a great question. I like the Saber Cabinets much better. I was just thinking about how to make those cutouts fit and look good.

Obsessed Garage I'm biased obviously, but our cabinets are better. Not made in China, welded (they are delivered built) etc... everyone has their preferences and I agree the Saber cabinets are a better option than some of the lower end compressed wood storage solutions. I'll have to get you up to our HQ in Auburn to see our showroom. ;)

I hope to one day have my garage as 'dialled in' as this garage is. I'm impressed with the detail you go into and obvious financial outlay invested into something only car guys/perfectionist's may appreciate. I do have a couple of points to raise, ref the book shelf speakers placed on the stainless counter top, If you're going to the trouble of placing them low down for a better sound would they not be 'even better' if securely mounted to something ? Surely they are going to vibrate/reverberate as they are now. My second point relevant to this garage and Matt's own set up is where the stainless counter top meets the wall looks unfinished to me, would a short upstand/splash back not look better/more finished. Sure I'm being harsh/picky and as I said would love to have what these guys already have.

Bookshelf speakers are designed to sit on a shelf. They do not vibrate.

I consider myself corrected then, I bet you camera performs best in your hand too eh ? I wasn't trying to be a smart arse, I figured you were a perfectionist looking for ultimate performance in everything you do.

I think that's the common misconception about me. I'm not a perfectionist. I think the best way to describe what my issues are is that I'm a practical functionalist. If it functions well and look good doing it. That's what I like. The garage is a not so good audio environment, but listening to music in it happens often. Putting bookshelf speaker on a shelf at ear level has them function very well. A perfectionist would probably buy proper stands, not wall mounts, and place them in a dedicated room. To me that isn't very practical or functional.

I was just watching Adams vid and he stated that the AC and insulation costed about $5k? Does it really cost that much for that installation because it seems to be pretty simple

Obsessed Garage that would be great, I’ve never even used any of Sonics tools before or even had the chance to see them or hold them in person... but I gave them a call the other day and told them I was interested and there actually sending me out a sample kit, which is really cool. I love the fact that they have certain mobile carts for different types of vehicles with each box being for them type of vehicles to be serviced, that it self blows my mind and I don’t even do any mechanical work lol... I’ll have to look more into lista tho since I don’t know much about there brand yet, but just from browsing there site they seem like a quality manufacturer as well.
