Upgraded from 2018 ipad pro to the m1 pro today. Im really surprised how much faster and snappier the m1 feels compared to the 2018 model as i didnt really notice at any point it being slow or anything. The only reason i upgraded because someone sold the m1 really cheap but now im kinda glad this happened. Also using stage manager connected to a monitor makes it almost like mac mini which is nice.
I found a used cellular one for $1295 AUD ($2149 AUD RRP). The seller also has the wifi model for $1195, so I am hoping I can haggle the wifi model down to $850-950 AUD, considering the 5G upgrade cost $250 AUD extra.
Depends on the market you are in. In NZ it might not be possible but I don’t know about overseas. However, if you’re interested in buying an M1 iPad nowadays, try getting an m2 or m3 instead.
I remove the Apple Pencil from the iPad once it is fully charged. In my experience, having it attached to the iPad drains a lot of battery. Sometimes the iPad (with the pencil attached) would drain like 10% charge overnight, without the pencil it’s like 2% only.
